We do know he did get benched and we do know it's a personal beef between BB and Butler serious enough to make BB bench his starting CB.

Fits with the reports of the fight from when the thing first happened. Fits with why Butler doesn't want to talk about and why Bill refuses to address it. Bill has never shied from saying someone sucked at practice and he wasn't fit to play. Didn't say that with Butler. He never gave a reason for Butler. He avoids that conversation like the plague. Butler kept his mouth shut and it didn't embarrass Steve and it didn't make him seem like a problem. Because Bill doesn't want his son with coaching aspirations to be known as a guy who has personal issues with players that can potentially effect Super Bowls.

So yeah, short of one of the three main people outright saying it wasn't that, I'm 99% that is the issue based on the source and everything else around it

You can either believe the story that most aligns with the very first reports about the incident when it happened in 2017 OR you can believe the guy who has been caught instantly denying actual true stories about Belichick that Belichick himself confirmed in the last week and has the least credible on this entire site denying the validity of any reports regarding Belichick.

Tough decision. The guy who has been comically wrong on Belichick reports in the last week to the most humiliating degree or something that lines up with the initial reporting on the subject, Kraft saying it was personal and what people at Patriots Place say.
