It's easy, and only takes a few moments.can't disagree...Last season.. we had a new everything with the same results losses! Now we have a coach who's got his grip on the team, and a direction. That matters heavily. This is normal to feel this way.. however I'm confident in some coaches with championship pedigree that can lead this team to a win to set the stage for the season.
27-17 Pats.Yup
28-21 Raiders
Pete Carrol can coach. Edge to the Raiders here.
Geno is a veteran. He has seen it all. Not sure this Pats D is quite up to speed yet to fool him.
Maye is gonna struggle with Skippy's offense. Probably for a good part of the season. The kid barely played in the preseason. What makes you people think they will hit the ground at full speed.
Like I mentioned in a previous post. They had better come up with a plan for Crosby. Last time they faced him he wrecked the Pats in the 4th quarter. It was like they had never known they were gonna face a player of his caliber.
This team will win 8 or 9 games and be improving by the end of the season. But they lose to this Raiders team week 1.
Any post with a possible positive NEM comment is a home run.If Maye takes a step back I'm going to join NEM in hating Josh, though. At some point you've got to consider a system that churns through players who succeed in other systems as more of a liability than a boon. We'll see.
Great post. On Crosby I said the same thing run at him. You have to make pass rushers play the run where you negate thier effectiveness. Furthermore Josh will have a blocking scheme for Crosby.27-17 Pats.
Vrabel can coach too
Geno is a vet, who's played good and a lot of bad ball. He's not a world beater, and he won't be a Pats beater next Sunday
What makes you think Maye won't hit the ground running? McD showed nothing in the preseason, how do you know Maye isn't completely up to speed with the game plan?
Here's a plan for Crosby, be up in the 4th quarter and pound the ball at him
Maye will make ad lib plays that don't show up in very, very limited preseason action, the Raiders D will not have a plan for him, or they will, but it won't work. Guessing over 60 yds rushing and t least 1 rushing TD for Maye. Raiders won't be ready for that.
More so than any team in the AFC right now because where this teams been the past few seasons.. nothing more than an opening day win at HOME.. would do wonders for the culture and propel this team going forward.can't disagree...
but seeing is believing...
He isn’t suggesting “a lot” of deep shots, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t attack both of these teams’ weaknesses which is their secondary; particularly down the field. We have QB to take advantage & it’ll open up things for the running game.I feel like anyone who thinks Josh’s playcalling will include a lot of deep shots has never watched a Josh McD-called game.
Just need Randy MossI feel like anyone who thinks Josh’s playcalling will include a lot of deep shots has never watched a Josh McD-called game.
Ya, not so sure about that. If LV crowds the line and brings the safeties up we will take deeper shots. It's all predicated on how successful we are running the ball, and what that does to LV's D alignment. Josh is smart enough to adjust his gameplan. He is not going to keep the training wheels on if that means nothing but short passes if LV is giving us the the intermediate and deep part of the field.I just think that Josh will have the training wheels on Maye for a bit.
It will if Maye is inaccurate or giving up interceptions, which he tends to do early.Ya, not so sure about that. If LV crowds the line and brings the safeties up we will take deeper shots. That looks like short quick passes all day to meIf LV crowds the line and brings the safeties up…
This went over your headThe Raiders defense isn't good enough to hold them to 3 points through 3+ quarters.
So you think if a team plays cover zero you aren't going to test the deep 2/3s?That looks like short quick passes all day to me
You don't remember when teams figured out Mac had a weak arm and would crowd the box and take away all his quick underneath throws? I sure do.That looks like short quick passes all day to me
Don’t forget the rest of the DL. Didn’t the Pats pick up some guy from the Eagles that might have a thing or two to say for himself?I like your thinking Barmore and Milton wreak havoc right out the gates and put the whole league on notice
