2026 Draft: LT

If you love the draft you have to love LT discussions.

Proctor mostly had a good season last year but his last three games were very poor with pass blocking grades of:

36.8 vs Oklahoma
59.2 vs Auburn
25.7 vs Michigan

It looks like 2025 is a continuation of those three games. Clearly there's something he needs to sort out.

Looks technique related to me. Big guy, easy mover. Late with his hands. Will have to watch him more this season.

I would be shocked if Proctor stuck at LT in the NFL. I've kept a particularly close eye on him partially due to the fact that he was heavily recruited by Notre Dame. There are all sorts of red flags with him and I just don't see him holding up against the athleticism the NFL will throw at him on the edge.

the Auburn LT Xavier Chaplin (6-7, 348) may end up being the better big body LT in this draft.

One thing I'm looking at for Isaiah World this season is penalties. In his first three seasons, he'a averaged 11 a year although to be fair to him, they have been dropping each season (13-11-8). And for this season so far? Zero.

What does impress me is his experience and avaialibility. Look at these snap counts:

2022 - 729
2023 - 814
2024 - 854

It was only in his first season, but World had 628 snaps at RT.

But can he separate?

Looking for World to make a leap this season. All-World potential.

Thx for sharing.

Nice size and length, but not elite footwork. Doesn't pop for me the way Josh Simmons did last year.

Yes, I could see moving World to RT.

I had wondered if World might be good enough to move Will Campbell to LG or RT if available. Don't see that kind of LT potential at this point. But he seems to have a bit of a mauler mentality, might be a good value at RT.

3 games in to the season, my thoughts on Will Campbell:

1. He is a damn good football player and leader, and should be a 10 year starter on the OL.

2. He is a big improvement at LT, and should mature into a reasonably capable starter.

3. That said, he has some limitations at LT, and it is not clear that is his best position.

So if someone like Caleb Lomu is BPA when the Pats pick, do you consider kicking Campbell inside to LG or over to RT?

Lomu has great footwork and mirroring ability. He is more of a classic LT than Campbell, though not as functionally strong.

I watched the Utah game this week and came away very unimpressed with both Lomu and Fano. Lomu looked small to me, more like a TE rather than a tackle. Fano just didnt impress me but i'll have to watch more.
Im very pleased with Campbell, and since he is playing with a rookieshh QB and a rookie guard, i think it would be tough to expect more from him.
