Eh, most S's in the NFL aren't that great. Lots of overrated/overpaid players back there. Unless the Pats have Jordan Richards, Chris Carter or Tavon Wilson back there, they'll be okay.

Safety is an important position. In a game dominated by passing how could it not be?

I’m not saying you spend first round picks on them but you still want good players there.

So Peppers is a box safety and doesn't have the skills to cover the dominant passing game. And you are complaining about cutting him? We have not had a free safety since Devin McCourty left. Maybe they have CB/FS in mind who is better at coverage because Dugger, Hawkins, and Woodson are box safeties too.

Even if they like Woodson/Hawkins as starters, need to add something to this safety room. Whether it’s trying one of the CB’s at safety or a vet.

Simmons is an obvious one, but Marcus Maye could be another lower end option. Still graded decent last year in rotational snaps.

Hawkins, Dugger, Woodson, are your starters now... so Dugger who can't cover and was on the block. Woodson great potential but a rookie, and Hawkins who can't catch... just great!!! Then to make things even better gonzo is uncertain... I don't understand this move for my guy peppers.. but you know something I'm still riding with Vrabel and his vision...
