It’s obvious vrabel prefers a different type of safety for his defense.
But do they feel that good about Woodson and Hawkins? Even if Woodson plays feat as a rookie, I don’t feel like Hawkins is a starter.

By releasing Peppers? Will cause the usual consternation, but in the overalls scheme, it's a nothing burger. This roster is getting overhauled and re done. It won't be done in an offseason. One more draft and FA period and lets see where its at.
Fact is Peppers may not have even been a starter anymore, so in reality this move may literally mean nothing.

No Gonzo or Peppers week 1, game is looking more and more iffy.

We're just

It's embarrassing how quickly people flip flop. He was unanimously considered one of the Patriots best players, but is somehow now "not a big loss". Ridiculous.
Okay this is going to drive me crazy. Was Vrabel wrong? I don’t know.

But here comes people out of the woodwork to say Peppers isn’t good. So predictable.
This is a back to back 4-13 team with Gonzalez the only significant player making an All Pro within the last two years. Peppers was a fine pick up, but he's not going to be the reason the defense is good. He's a redundant hybrid player Vrabel is trying to move on from.

He's nowhere on the same level as the Lawyer Milloy situation.

And Peppers played 15 games in a 4-13 season followed up by 6 games in another 4-13 season. Cutting him now doesn't help or hurt the team. The roster absolutely blows (thanks Bill and Eliot!) and these are the kind of moves that need to be done in a long needed overhaul.

Pats prob have one of the worst safety rooms in all of football.

Timing matter they must of thought they had a trade partner.

Vrabel's Lawyer Milloy moment, not that Peppers is the caliber of Milloy.

Why keep any of our good (few) preexisting players? We went 4-13 so those guys are useless right? Smh

We’re about to find out.
