If they had wanted to keep Swinson they would have kept Swinson. That decision had nothing to do with Bourne. (Do you really think all 52 other players on this roster are indispensable?)

I was as excited as anyone when Swinson fell to the Pats in the draft, but he was a washout in camp.

I’m sure that the Swinson situation had nothing to do with Bourne. They just clearly didn’t like Swinson enough. Hell, I’d question why Westover is still on the team, no one will claim him, will go to practice squad easily.

Haha. We did the same thing with the fn head coach two years later. Entirely predictable results. Mayo wasn’t even calling plays yet was given the keys to the car. Ridiculous. Crazy how we went from being the model of organizational competency to utter trash under the same leadership team. That’s pretty hard to do but we managed. Milton and the Bills, drafting Strange in the first and the ascension of Mayo sum up this decade of Patriot football perfectly. Let’s hope Vrabel can fix it. Getting rid of the lawyer was a good start.
