I’m sure that the Swinson situation had nothing to do with Bourne. They just clearly didn’t like Swinson enough. Hell, I’d question why Westover is still on the team, no one will claim him, will go to practice squad easily.

Westover is our FB and 3rd TE. If he was just a 3rd TE he would have been a practice squad call up for certain game plans or incase of injury.

Bourne wanted to be released. He previously asked to be traded. Trade fell through with the Vikings. I liked Bourne. It was probably best for both parties to move on. With Boutte a guy who's gotten better each season and the emergency of Chism 3rd.. he was expendable.

Isn’t the roster full at this point? Who else gets released to sign another WR?

I know some believe it essential to carry 3 QBs on the roster at all times and that the team will suffer if they only have two - but I would absolutely consider going with just 2 QBs if it meant including a guy with more upside than Baker
