I thought he had ideal OT length and body type and was a good run blocker. A developmental prospect for sure but I really liked his potential. It seems the NFL disagreed.

The problem is the money is "guaranteed". They want the Pats to eat it, which is BS. His cap hit for any team trading for him would be middle of the pack. And Dugger is worth that.

He is to be paid $10m which is a ton of money for a player working his way back from injury. At 100% hes a solid strong safety who is below-average in coverage.

Right now it's a leverage game and the Pats have none. Teams are poking at the Pats to determine how desperate they are to get rid of him. They want to move him but are not desperate to do so.
