Personally, I'm hoping the Raiders cut JJ Pegues and the Pats pick him up to be the FB.. But I know it's likely wishful thinking.

The Pats will have their choice of QB.. Honestly, I think I'd rather have Mike White than Dobbs. If they go with someone else, then Adrian Martinez could be a good guy to have behind Dobbs to develop.

People lamenting Kenny Pickett are befuddling.... 3 teams have had him and decided he wasn't worth it. Pittsburgh, Philly and Cleveland. The fact that Cleveland chose to trade Pickett and deal with the Sanders headache should tell everyone everything you need to know.

Last year's project at TE for the Jets in Zach Kuntz was cut again.

What does everyone think about his potential to be able to play guard effectively?

On paper Campbell Robinson Wilson Onwenwu Moses would really make me feel better going into the season. Even with Bradbury still at center and giving Wilson more time to learn the OL line calls a center needs to know I'd feel better. Wilson would become the key depth piece basically backing up the whole line in combination with moving Cam to tackle and putting Wilson at LG if the injury were to be at tackle.

We didn't want him when we were desperate at LT. He was sitting out there in free agency forever. I think only some team that is truly desperate because of an injury is going to grab him now.

A name to watch today: Texans LT Cam Robinson, whom the team has discussed trading, per sources.Rookie Aireontae Ersery has impressed this summer and looks ready to man the Texans’ left tackle position.

Really Liked him Pre Draft.

I'd love to see them take on Martinez as a PS QB

But Vrabel is only keeping 2 QBs and as of Week 1 that's Dobbs.

If Maye is out for an extended period then they'd sign a veteran, but realistically, take your pick of just about ANY veteran backup conceivably available and how many games do you think they'd win with this squad when most predict a 9-8 season for Maye?

Dobbs has purposefully been chosen as a place holder and indicates that Plan B is a better draft pick if Maye goes down.

Yup - those are the types of names that they'll hopefully be bringing in, especially for depth on the OL!

The benefits of only carrying 2 QBs, 3 RBs, and 2 TEs is that you have room to bring in what may be some quality bench depth at OL where the entire success of the team hinges on the protection of your QB.

Belichick was always active in this "third" phase of the offseason with an eye to building for the following season, and I'm expecting Vrabel to be no different.
