I don't know is that a statement of how good the Patriots draft was this year or a damnation of how bad the roster he inherited is. Probably a little bit of both.

It’s a statement of the 2025 draft. Of course, all of the 2024 draft class made the 53 last year as well.

Lol, I was embellishing. It was a 4.83 I think.

Probably the most shocked I’ve been in regards to a 40 time. I remember I was looking to see if he could break 4.6.

I hope we ALL understand that whatever names appear on the 53 man roster at 4pm today will be different than the ones that will be playing opening day.

Lots of movement on rosters all season. WHATEVER happens today.

Yeah, it crushed his draft value. I felt really bad for him. He lost a lot of money.

Kobee Minor made it? Ugh, didn’t like what I saw out of him in the games, just doesn’t look anywhere close to being ready. PS absolutely, give him a chance to grow. But 53 and getting to play now? Not yet. And not worth crying about if he gets claimed.

Most of these remaining players are ones that have been mentioned for the roster or the practice squad.

Maybe this has changed now, but Jack Conley hasn't been cut yet and he doesn't fit that catagory, I haven't heard any buzz about him. What is the deal, is he not answering his phone? Or, is his versatility giving the Patriots pause?

Chism is a great example of over valuing top speed vs quickness and acceleration. His short shuttle and 3 cone time more accurately reflects what we are seeing on the field. He will win against coverage in short to intermediate routes. I am excited to see how his season goes...fingers crossed he can stay healthy.

This isn't difficult. Everyone has practiced, so the only option available is IR.

IR at this point is season-ending only if one of two things happens:
(1) They go on IR today without being given a DTR, or
(2) They go on IR less than 24 hours after being on the 53 (for anyone that makes the 53 today, that would be 4 PM tomorrow).

Chism, Baker, Bourne, Tavai and others could go to IR.... IDK which are eligible for what exactly, some can return and some can't, but the point is they can open the roster spots to carry everyone who is borderline on this roster.

Easy to guess that now, but at the time he was a rising prospect with one of the highest RAS scores in history who dominated the Shrine Bowl practices coached by NE coaches. He could easily have gone in r2 before we picked again. He was a starter his rookie year. And he was the 29th pick, not the 10th or whatever, and many picks in that range don't work out.

He was a starter because Bill traded away one guard, let a future HOF guard walk in free agency, and then jerked around a competent stop-gap guard with a low ball offer.
