Pending softball tournaments for travel ball, I might actually try and take my daughter up for a home game this year. Flying out of BNA, there’s non stops to PVD and BOS which do you all recommend for an overnight trip probably flying back Monday morning?
-Decent/safe Hotel recommendations?
-Rent a car or uber/train?

It’s always been kind of a turn off since I feel like the stadium can be kinda a pain in the ass to get to, or maybe I’m remembering wrong. Anyhow, tips or suggestions welcome, Thanks.

fly into PVD. Logan is the worst airport in the country
uber to downtown PVD and look at the Marriott at Exchange Terrace
uber to the game. save $90-$100 dollars on parking
easy peasey

Good deal, I’ll check out the Marriott. Is it easy to Uber from foxboro back?
I’m spoiled here, 20 dollars round trip on the train right to the stadium.

Maybe some of the nice Pats fans here will invite you and your daughter to tailgate with them.

I would if I was going.

i think the MBTA runs a train from Green airport (providence) to the stadium...

and there is nothing easy about driving to the game up route 1.

PVD for certain.

Since it will be an overnight trip and flying back Monday, then flying into Providence is a no-brainer.
Far less expensive, less traffic, less stress.

If you were going to stay for a few days I'd recommend Boston for the restaurants, sight seeing, etc., but that's not the case here.

I go to parking lot is 51 at entrance P10N. Stay to the left when you pull in. It is free general parking. I get in there close to the opening of the lot, and have had great success getting in and out quickly. When I exit the lot, I head towards 95. I get as far as I can in the left lane at the exit, and that places me in a lane opened up against oncoming traffic. There are three total. You will rip past the other two lanes and it will merge up near 95.

To get an Uber from Gillette Stadium after a New England Patriots game, proceed to the dedicated rideshare pickup location in Lot 15, near the Bass Pro Shops, and schedule your ride through the Uber app. Be prepared for potential traffic delays exiting the stadium area, as this is a common issue after large events.

Steps to get your Uber:
  1. Use the Uber app: You must schedule your ride through the Uber mobile app to access the rideshare services at the stadium.

  2. Go to the designated pickup area: Head to the specific pickup location for Uber and Lyft users in Lot 15.

  3. Allow extra time: Plan for increased waiting times and heavy traffic when trying to leave Gillette Stadium, especially after a game.

Thank you sir! Much appreciated info

Providence is an amazing place. Just went this spring for the first time in 30-years. Beautiful city. Great restaurants, cafes, markets. Skip Boston. PVD is where it's at these days.

Think about the train from PVD to Gillette, inexpensive and I believe it gets there an hour before the game.. no traffic easy walk to train station from the Marriot. The train leaves a half hour after the game ends..
Round trip $20.00... eazy peazy.

I might suggest the Walpole Motel, a scant 1.5 miles away from Gillette Stadium - very walkable. Charming, homey feel, to this quaint New England Inn. Complete with itinerant non-English speaking commercial roofers, 8 to a room. Also features access to several purveyors of fine artisanal opioids and stimulants. Like the foliage, the methamphetamine and percocet is top notch in New England in the fall. If you book Walpole Motel on the right evening, you may also get to enjoy a local underage drinking/drugging party in the adjacent room. You can experience all New England charm for around $100 a night; weekly rates available.

In all truthfulness, getting to and from Gillette Stadium by car absolutely sucks - whether you're coming from California or 10 minutes away. It's enough to deter people from going to games - unless you can get there and be in line when the lots open and stay until the mounted state troopers kick you out. Boston or Providence, it's going to be a ****show - unless, as I said, you leave super, super early and stay 2+ hours after the game. PVD is definitely better than Logan. We just flew into PVD from the Caribbean (boy, my arms are tired). We always do green bc Boston sucks - this city itself is a ****ing dump, unless you like the smell of weed and homeless drug addicts on every third corner.

If you're thinking of a 1 pm game, which I think almost all home games are, and you're NOT taking the ****ty Pats train, I would leave your hotel by 7 am. Get to the stadium super early and grab breakfast at one of Krafty Bob's hotels in Patriots Place (not sure if anyone else in Patriot Place has breakfast, other than Dunkin Donuts - that is, if Krafty Bob lets you park in the retail lots before the game. That way you avoid the am traffic. But as others have said, Pats train from PVD may be the way to go. The last time we took the Pats train is ****ing sucked. Granted we took it North but the ride took well over an hour for what should literally be a 15-20 minute train ride.

Anyway, good luck

I think there was even some prostitution going on at that motel at various times through the years.

A better suggestion not far there is a home2home suites. Not shady. No clue what game day rates are but it's an easy walk and not directly on Patriot place so might not be brutal.

If you really want VIP experience there are 2 very nice hotels part of Patriot Place. Very pricey and I'm not sure about availability.
