The Bill megathread (HC at UNC, girlfriend, etc.)

Bill Belichick was desperate to take an NFL job. No one offered him one. He didn't go the UNC to screw over Kraft. He went to UNC because that was the best offer he got.
Desperate?

Nope.

We know that

1. BB did not quit and that he made Kraft fire him. And, quite frankly, some of the decisions that BB made in 2023 like keeping Corky Mac in at QB vs Dallas and New Orleans were head scratchers. It appeared to me that BB wanted to be fired leaving that loser in for so long.
2. If BB took an NFL job, Kraft would receive an offset in the 25 million owed to BB.
3. Kraft gave BB a bad recommendation to Arthur Blank according to rumors.
4. We know that Kraft and BB are bitter enemies like Jerry Jones and Jimmy Johnson.
5. All eyes on on UNC since BB took over.
6. By appearances, it look like Steve Belichick will succeed BB as UNC HC when he leaves for the NFL.

.426 after Brady. Complete garbage. Now he’s embarrassing himself off the field too. Laughingstock.
We have to separate Bill's record pre and post Brady because (checks notes) some crayon eating haters on a fan site say so.

Sounds legit....

Let's give it up for page 193 of the schizo thread!

No doubt decades from now they'll be having this same conversation, much like the "we have to judge Vince Lombardi without Bart Starr" conversation being had on the Packer's fansite.

One season last year he listened to offers, the only one that got close was Atlanta but the owner’s #1 guy torpedoed the deal.

Every year there are only a handful or few job openings, a lot of those are terrible jobs no good coach wants. Nobody wants to work for Jerry Jones or the Jets for example.
Bill Belichick would do anything for either of those jobs.
Bill was seemingly waiting for this season to job hunt again, but months before the NFL season ended and all jobs became available… he was already signing with North Carolina.

This was a laugh riot for all you over dramatic soap opera driven haters who insisted Bill cared about his “legacy.” As if he had to do more as a pro… laughable.

If a great pro job opens up he might take it, but that wasn’t available last season.
You're a moron if you don't realize that Belichick - and his representatives - knew exactly what job openings there would be after the 2024 and if any of them would have been interested in him.

When he realized not a single team would be interested in him - again - he went to UNC.

No ****, Sherlock. If he quits then not only does he not get his money, but he can't go coach somewhere else (which is 100% what he wanted to do).

Nobody does, except coaches who nobody wants or first timers. Job history says you're wrong.

Wait are you really trying to make the case that Bill forced Kraft to fire him?

JFC how do you guys come up with such delusional crap. You're even more tapped then I ever realized.

There's a famous episode of Kitchen Nightmare about a bakery/restaurant called Amy's Baking Company. Terrible restaurant, food was awful. But the thing that made it famous was that the owner and the head chef could have a restaurant full of people telling them the food sucked and the service sucked, the staff would tell them they were doing it wrong, they'd have nothing but horrible reviews.... but rather than take accountable they would just double down over and over again and call everyone "haters" and claim the "haters" were trying to sabotage them.
Their behavior and crusade against the haters made it such a memorable episode that it got a follow up episode and it lives on in infamy and gets discussed and has retrospectives years and years after it aired.

I am not unconvinced based on how this thread is going, that Wozzy and signbabybrady aren't the two people in this picture.

"Months" before the season ended? UNC hired Bill Belichick on December 11, 2024 which was 3 1/2 weeks before the regular season ended and Black Monday (not to mention he didn't even sign his UNC contract until late January so the regular season was long over before he was officially hired)

Honest question: Seriously..... don't you ever get tired of being wrong?

And I read this thinking you were going to call SB1, XLIX, and Bill Lee the stubborn ones.

You're talking to a guy who insinuated the 2000 Ravens won the Super Bowl because Belichick was the coach of the Browns that became the Ravens despite only like 2 players Belichick personally coached being on the team.

He's now claiming that Bill went to UNC before jobs opened up. There were literally coaches fired and obvious job openings well before. Robert Saleh on the Jets was fired in ****ing October and that's a location that media outlets said they had sources that Bill was inquiring about. Hell the Bears were considered the most attractive destination for a coach this year. Eberflus who was there HC last year was fired on November 29th. Nearly two weeks before UNC announced as the UNC head coach.

Wozzy just shamelessly makes **** up based on how he feels and then deflects when called out on it.

Week 14 is a month, or leaves four games left in the regular season. The playoffs last roughly a month. So roughly two months. You're wrong.

Repeating the same stupid nonsense doesn't make it correct the 2nd time. Jobs opened up in the last two months of the season. The timeline says you're wrong.

If I remember correctly I think Bill's impact on the Ravens would be more at the management level. I believe the story goes that Ozzy, Bill, and Saban worked on a lot of coaching and scouting philosophies together during their years in Cleveland.

Wait are you really trying to make the case that Bill forced Kraft to fire him?
I don't know what point Triumph was trying to make, you'll have to ask him that.

But there was no way Belichick was going to quit after the 2023 season. It was far too much to his advantage to be fired than to quit.

I said what I meant and I meant what I said. You're wrong so just take the L and stop humiliating yourself:

FACT: UNC hired Bill Belichick on December 11, 2024 which was 3 1/2 weeks before the regular season ended. Who gives a **** about the playoffs? Those teams aren't firing their coaches, dipshit. Belichick was hired by UNC 26 days before Black Monday, where 7 coaches were fired (or had already been fired), not "months" beforehand like you ignorantly claim - NOT TO MENTION he didn't even sign his UNC contract until late January so the regular season was long over before he was officially hired.

You nuts have officially broken my brain.
