Bill wasn’t entirely in charge his last four years in NE, Jonathan and Wolf were. Bill’s own words.

Bill hired his buddies to coach in 2022 because someone other than Bill was pushing them to run a West Coast offense… an offense that Bill outright panned as being “easy to defend.”

I suspect at this point Bill saw the writing on the wall, knew he wasn’t going anywhere o be there much longer because the owner Jonathan wanted him gone so he hired his friends instead.

All ancillary to not picking the right QB. I find it funny how much credit you guys give Brady and then ignore the QB problems after. Give Bill another year and he finds Maye and we would be in a better place now instead of hoping that Vrabel can fix the mess.

Without Brady they don’t win any IMO

While I believe Brady was the most important part of every Belichick team, and every Lombardi they won, he didn’t do it by himself. It took innumerable great coaches and players all working together to obtain those championships. Neither Belichick or Brady would have been as successful without other doing everything they could to make them happen, and the idea that either could have or did do it on their own is ridiculous.

Brady would have won without Bill, BB wouldn’t without Brady. Why? Because it happened. Tom went to a 7-9 team the year before and won it all. Bill hadn’t won a thing without Brady.

Those 2 coordinator rings don’t count those were Parcells rings as he was the HC.

Youve omitted a few facts from your post.

Kraft threatened to move the Pats to Connecticut after the St Louis plan blew up. The St Louis plan blew up because Orthwien was in financial trouble and he needed a partner to invest in the Pats so they could move. Kraft owned the land where the stadium was and he owned 300 acres where the parking was. Kraft skimmed 70 million from Massachusetts for infrastructure improvements. Guess where that 70 Million came from? Not the Tooth Fairy. Furthermore, Kraft never wanted to go to Connecticut because he owned the land for the new Pats stadium in Foxboro.

2008 really grew on me. No expectations and it felt like the team was starting to get hot at the right time. Just ran out of games. Obviously the offense was significantly worse without the GOAT and injuries didn't help but they did play some good football at the end and if they got in the playoffs who knows?

Feels like 2020 should have also been one of these seasons but the team was just bad. But I liked Cam anyway...don't tell anyone

2022 and 23 had the Mac Jones/Bailey Zappe "controversy"

I can't do anything for the 2024 season once the players are...

Just for reference, Jeff Hostetler, Nick Foles nor Carson Wentz could hold down a starting job after those championships… but they’re amazing Super Bowl caliber QB’s?
