That would be true if I were a little woman. HAHAHA. I am not hostile towards everyone, just the clowns like you who claim a 3rd round rookie is a bust in August. There is just no room for that type of idiocy.

Give him a year. I think he will be something next year.
I agree, he has the talent, just needs some time.

Don’t be so harsh.

They are much better than those who proclaim a first round pick to be a bust in July, just because of his sleeve length.

I expected more out of him, considering how he started. Little did I know, we’d have a rookie WR that would look excellent in the Pat’s offense, and maybe have an impact as a rookie, and it would be an UDFA receiver and not the 3rd round receiver.

Also, I still think Jaylen Noel should’ve been the pick. I understand why they went with Williams, he’s more of an outside WR, while Noel was more of a slot, but end of the day, Noel is the better receiver prospect.

I think your ejaculation is premature.

Williams has gotten open A LOT - both in competitive practices and games... but he's not being looked at as much as the vets (or Chism) But that will come. I actually think if Diggs washes out or gets hurt again mid-season, it could be Williams who plays that role. He's more of the twitchy down field threat than either Pop or Boutte - although, like I've said, Boutte seems to be in the seat of the steady reliable vet now. Almost like Meyers was in '21.

What's the hit rate on R3 WRs? I did a quick look and it didn't look great.
It's not great. But, as we know, there have been exceptions (and quite a few actually). But then the same could be said for players drafted in any round, or even UDFA's.

I'm not sure why anyone is concerned.

Williams is a 3rd round rookie. We are not counting on anything from him for the first half, if at all this season. Of course, we hope that he will step up to the plate (and be an upgrade to Boutte) sooner than that,

We have Boutte as our active backup for as long as it takes for him to develop.

And we have Chism in case of injury.

We are in a very good position at WR. Vrabel has the flexibility to trade for a top WR to play opposite Diggs. If not, 5 (or even all 6) of our current 6 will likely give us an even better set of receivers in 2026 as they will be more experienced in the Offense and with each other. [And, of course, we will likely be adding a late round draft choice and/or UDFA or two again next year].

I had the two very close giving KW the nod in the end.

Boy you have changed your tune on the practice squad squatter. What a difference a Year makes.

Yes however Efton is a slot guy he gets his catches in volume.. Williams game is speed, winning off the line and getting behind the defense.. he will be integrated into game plans.. trust and believe it. Watch out for the Henderson and Williams formations against aggressive defenses.
Legit question - Would it be fair to say Williams role is more play, defense, and education and slot is more intuition?

Don't know if this was mentioned earlier, but on the post-game show WBZ's Dan Roche said that he stopped by Williams' locker and asked him how he felt and that Williams responded with I'm good, so maybe we dodged injury bullets for both him & The Chizz...

He looked pretty good in the second preseason game. Like I said, it’s early. We don’t know what we have.

You could be right. As it's alot going on in the middle of the field. Vrabel and Josh aren't going to try to fit square peg in round holes. They drafted Williams for his skills and potential as an outside the numbers guy. I believe he will be brought along gradually and be a regular contributor by mid season.

Short and sweet, but a good evaluation.
