CB might be the strongest position on the team.Marcus Jones had great coverage on that great throw and catch.

Any word on Dial??CB might be the strongest position on the team.
I don't see Hollins above Boutte, so I would add Boutte to the top 4, and move Hollins to your pick 1 or 2 list.JUST A THOUGHT
If the top 4 are Diggs, Hollins, Douglas and Williams, shouldn't the 5th and 6th be the players who have the highest upside?
Let's be real. The #5 and #6 are unlikely to get a huge number of receptions THIS year, even with one injury. After, we have several receiving targets in our RB's and WR's.

WHO HAS THE HIGHEST UPSIDE? (choose 1 or 2)
BOUTTE
POLK
BAKER
CHISM
Thank you: Mack Hollins is a mediocre WR pass.I don't see Hollins above Boutte, so I would add Boutte to the top 4, and move Hollins to your pick 1 or 2 list.
It's such a competitive group, I really could see us carrying 7 to start.
If 6, I would rather keep Baker and Polk or Chism over Hollins.......if they continue to impress.
Hollins has no upside, he is what he is. The young 3 have upside, but they need to show it the next few weeks. I don't know what their upside is as I haven't been at practice, and what Polk/Baker put on tape last year was awful, but in a pretty dysfunctional situation.
Unfortunately I have seen nothing.Any word on Dial??
Boutte and Baker have the best potential of the four receivers. Boutte has easily has the highest floor. Baker seems to be turning it around in TC. Remains to be seen what he does in joint practices and actual games.JUST A THOUGHT

I'd caution that though.. you still need a back that gets yards...rhams days are numbered
Just touching on some camp reporting from Perry and Bedard.. they feel Dugger could be cut or released.. I admit didn't see this as possibility. I'm in the same boat as rham.. with Dugger.. you need a veteran who's been here and played at high level before especially with a younger team. Is Woodson ready to lead? Haven't seen much about petus? If Dugger is released.. then..you have peppers and some uproven guys at S.. I don't think vrabel wants to gamble like that... IMO..It's not easy to rapid fire posts like that...Feel free to add other views... I'm sure they'll be appreciated
ACL out for the season unfortunately. Kid was doing well.Unfortunately I have seen nothing.
Anybody seen this move from Ja'Lynn Polk??
I think we have plenty of leadership with Peppers. Dugger has been here, but it's a new defense, so being here in the past is less important. Dugger has not lived up to his contract, and yes injuries played a role, but right now he is being paid well beyond his production. I don't want him cut or traded, but when a guy isn't producing to the level of his contract, he will always be on the chopping block if he won't restructure.I'd caution that though.. you still need a back that gets yards...

There's no guarantee of that. I had a significant hamstring injury playing football and played the rest of the year without issue. Everyone is different. Our top doggs are out gonzo and Davis.. is why I wished we weere in the jaire Alexander sweepstakes.. gonzo is going to be dealing with the hamstring all season it's not going away..
We're you an all pro CB looking to get paid? There's no guarantee of that. I had a significant hamstring injury playing football and played the rest of the year without issue. Everyone is different.
Agreed on leadership. However Dugger is considered as leader as well and is a veteran.. unless Vrabel and Williams feel like pettus, Woodson, Hawkins could handle the other safety spot then sure, part with Dugger.. go back to last season when we had Dugger and peppers both out.. we gave up big plays like clock work.I think we have plenty of leadership with Peppers. This is true, but we also had a terrible Dline that generated no pressure and couldn't stop the run. Hard for any DB to be effective in those circumstances.Agreed on leadership. You know the answer to that, but me playing lower level football doesn't make my hamstring injury any less, and I didn't have a pro medical staff guiding my recovery. Hammys can reoccur, no doubt, but it's far from a certainty. Some people heal quick and have no further problems, some guys suffer with it all year. Really hope Gonzo is the former, and not the latter. We're you an all pro CB looking to get paid?
Good points there! The D line.. basically the front 7 is remarkably better.. the defense is constructed to be agreessive and attacking.. not to read and react and guess. NFL defensive players like to attack offenses and utilize thier tools.. even if we give up plays.. it still affects and offense forcing them to get the ball out faster, disrupt the timing of the snap and affects the way an OC can call plays . Remember those Rex Ryan jets? Even though we had Brady he struggled against those defenses. This is true, but we also had a terrible Dline that generated no pressure and couldn't stop the run. I know man.. lol I wasn't showing you up..I actually appreciate your insightsYou know the answer to that, but me playing lower level football doesn't make my hamstring injury any less, and I didn't have a pro medical staff guiding my recovery. For sure. Mayo basically ran BB's defense which is safe, make no mistakes, take very few risks...etc. The problem with that when you have no game wreckers up front often times the opposing QB has all day to make a plays. We saw that far too often last year. Even a HOF secondary can't cover forever. And when you can't stop the run, our DBs, especially Safties creep up and always have run in their mind, then boom, beat over the top.Good points there!
