And everyone was saying Williams was very similar to Mahomes, but a better athlete. Calling Mac a bust is no great feat. He doesn't possess high caliber athleticism, coupled with a weak mind, not a recipe for success. I too was very high on Josh, but that very easily you've gone the other way. I've seen his type drafted many, many times in my day. Quite often they don't work out, I'm sure I liked some of those guys too, so I'm certainly not going to get too excited that I was right on Josh. I'm not pulling for Caleb one way or the other. I certainly didn't like some of things I heard about him pre-draft. Still, far too early to him a bust. Maybe he will bust, maybe he won't, I really have no idea.Dude should just shut up and prove it on the field. All the boasting and predictions never pan out.
With QBs its is a bit different since they touch the ball every single play. You can see relatively soon who has a chance to make it and who will not. Last season I saw far more composure with Maye. The fact that Chicago passed on Maye bodes well for his future.
You can make all the excuses that you want. It makes no difference to me.
I called Mac Jones a BUST from the beginning. I called Josh Allen a Stud if he received the right coaching. Why? Because Allen had the size, arm, toughness, no attitude, raw materials from the beginning.
