Note what I said. I did not say he was off the 53.Yes. But not off the 53 like you stated. You are being rash. Not like you. Are you having a bad day?

This is true of those who backed him up as well. Not to take away from Wilson's play but also probably part of the reason he's been able to ascend so quickly. If Strange wasn't a first round pick (2 head coaches ago) then he would get about as much attention on this board as Sidy Sow. People seem to keep trying to claim he can play multiple positions when he really hasn't played anywhere well.
Every year PatsFans suggests guys that will be traded. How often does it really happen at the 53 cutdown deadline? Trades at the 53 deadline only happen here and there, not common at all. Strange can play LG and C this year while we use the 2026 FA and draft to build out the OL more. Strange's contract is fully guaranteed so if we trade him someone has to pay his full contract or we take a cap hit. I can not see trading Strange becuase the Pats want to save under $3M. We are paying Christian Ellis $6.5M+.This might be one of those instances where the rebuilding VS win now argument is fought.
Strange is in the last year of his deal. I don't think he's good enough to be a candidate as the veteran to rebuild an offensive line around.
Teams will be offensive line drooling in a few weeks. With the injuries, we are not far from that now.
With an extremely team friendly contract, Strange will have more trade value than perhaps he deserves.
I believe Strange will make the team without a good offer, but they might accept a draft choice that looks high for him.
My apologies.Note what I said. I did not say he was off the 53.
Exactly the moving goal posts spin doctors on PatsFans..com anything to justify the pick.If Strange wasn't a first round pick (2 head coaches ago) then he would get about as much attention on this board as Sidy Sow. There were times during his rookie year and in 2023 he played pretty well considering Andrews went to IR, Klemm, Yates, and Fat Matt were coaching the line. Even in his 2nd year he had his moments. Due to his injury (which cuts into development), sketch coaching in 2023 & 2024, and a new regime, he's fighting (offseason award winner) to stay on the depth chart. If Strange wasn't a first round pick (2 head coaches ago) then he would get about as much attention on this board as Sidy Sow. No, it’s about the 2 players that fit the captains rating system. Is this the Captain?
It's not about justifying the pick it's about finding the best 5 OL and a couple versatile backups.Exactly the moving goal posts spin doctors on PatsFans..com anything to justify the pick.
Huh? He played, he was bad, and he was sat down.Blaming our awful Offense on a rookie WR is somewhat strange. If he were so bad (he was) and the coaches so good, then they simply needed to sit Polk.
true for both Strange and SowIf Strange wasn't a first round pick (2 head coaches ago) then he would get about as much attention on this board as Sidy Sow. People seem to keep trying to claim he can play multiple positions when he really hasn't played anywhere well.
one of the WR'sThere's an avg of about one trade at this time of year
2021 - Sony Michel
2022 - N'Keal Harry (just before camp)
2023 - Pierre Strong
2024 - Judon
So who would you say is a more likely candidate this year?
And now we have the pick from the Bears that was traded for Thuney, via KC, as part of the Judon pick that became Jared Wilson. It's not about justifying the pick it's about finding the best 5 OL and a couple versatile backups.
The pick is sunk. And from the jump it was an over reach but at the time starting guard was one of our needs. Self inflicted by letting Thuney go but a need none the less.
You could argue despite probably never going to be worth the 1 that he was still ok prior to the injury. Post injury obviously time will tell but it's a severe enough injury that he might never get back to where he was.
But does that conversation really matter more than the here and now? what matters now is wether he's still one of our best 7 or 8 linemen and a gameday active player or not.
2022 - not at the 53 deadline, 2023 - Pierre Strong was a swap not a trade for a 6th or 7th rounder, 2024 - Judon not at the 53 deadline. There's an avg of about one trade at this time of year

Yup most reports 1 on 1’s he’s given up a few up but has been really good in 7 on 7’s and 11 on 11’s. Last time I checked each side has 11 players on the field. No, he hasn't "struggled". Thats pure BS. He has more than held his own which is saying something for a rookie OT.
Same. In a more perfect world both would have been fourth round selections. If Strange wasn't a first round pick (2 head coaches ago) then he would get about as much attention on this board as Sidy Sow.
Agree. See my post before I saw your post .one of the WR's
and competing for backup roster spotSame. In a more perfect world both would have been fourth round selections.
I heard on the Patriots post practice show that he’s had 7 sacks the last three days.K Chaisson might be a late bloomer Defender.
