I’m holding out for joint practice results before I get too excited. So at what point do we start to rave about Drake?
He seems to be absolutely balling out through the first week of camp!
Not a lot of mistakes, spreading the ball around to everyone, scoring TDs left and right, and good completion numbers.
Probably until Week 4 of the regular seasonSo at what point do we start to rave about Drake?

Big “if”. Name the nine in front of him.Great backup? I don't think that opinion is universally shared.
If hes the 10th offensive linemen on teh depth chart and has value he'll absolutely be a trade candidate.
A bit of an overreaction, they are only in shells, not even in pads. They haven't even played an exhibition game.Meanwhile Simmons is looking like a 10 year bookmark and Campbell is going to get moved to guard by next season.
Sickening.
Top 3 picks shouldn’t get beat like that.
Strange is with the 1s. Can backup both LG and C. The 10th OL does not run with the 1s.Great backup? I don't think that opinion is universally shared.

Week 1 of camp..Way too premature to name them. You know that.Big “if”. Name the nine in front of him.
Strange was not with the 1s. Brown was at C and Wilson was at LGStrange is with the 1s. Can backup both LG and C. The 10th OL does not run with the 1s.
But not too premature to consign a veteran to an inevitable trade or cut. Got it.Week 1 of camp..Way too premature to name them. You know that.
Not what I said but whatever suits you.But not too premature to consign a veteran to an inevitable trade or cut. Got it.
It's also going to come down to flexibility. A guy who can backup both guard and center is going to more likely get a spot rather than two guys who can only backup one spot.Strange is with the 1s. Can backup both LG and C. The 10th OL does not run with the 1s.
One step closer to him being off the roster. Granted, it is early, but it looks like Jared Wilson is the leader in the clubhouse at LG, and Ben Brown is currently viewed by the staff as the backup center. Seems like Strange might be left without a chair when the music stops.Strange was not with the 1s. Brown was at C and Wilson was at LG
But if he isn't really good in either spot then what is the point? It's also going to come down to flexibility. A guy who can backup both guard and center is going to more likely get a spot rather than two guys who can only backup one spot.
That’s an excuse.I understand but we had the Worst Coaching too *Mayo and others* he has that going for him.
I was just going to post this. If think Drake is primed for a huge year now that he has Josh and some of the new weapons along with an improved line. He's going to make the line better than it is.So at what point do we start to rave about Drake?

Right, that's part of what the coaches are deciding. Is he that much worse of a center than Brown? If so, that will decide it. If not, his ability to play guard might be enough to give him the edge. But if he isn't really good in either spot then what is the point?
