So at what point do we start to rave about Drake?

He seems to be absolutely balling out through the first week of camp!

Not a lot of mistakes, spreading the ball around to everyone, scoring TDs left and right, and good completion numbers.

He was Back-up to Benny Brown today.
It's one day.

Bradbury is going to be there anyway.

But when Strange came in and started over Brown last year, the OL play immediately improved and even popped off several 150 yard running games.

I’m holding out for joint practice results before I get too excited.

Probably until Week 4 of the regular season
Everyone can look like HOF in TC
But to your point he's doing good prefer this than say Anthony Richardson TC lol

Great backup? I don't think that opinion is universally shared.

If hes the 10th offensive linemen on teh depth chart and has value he'll absolutely be a trade candidate.
Big “if”. Name the nine in front of him.

Meanwhile Simmons is looking like a 10 year bookmark and Campbell is going to get moved to guard by next season.

Sickening.

Top 3 picks shouldn’t get beat like that.
A bit of an overreaction, they are only in shells, not even in pads. They haven't even played an exhibition game.

Strange is with the 1s. Can backup both LG and C. The 10th OL does not run with the 1s.

Strange was not with the 1s. Brown was at C and Wilson was at LG

But not too premature to consign a veteran to an inevitable trade or cut. Got it.
Not what I said but whatever suits you.

It's also going to come down to flexibility. A guy who can backup both guard and center is going to more likely get a spot rather than two guys who can only backup one spot.

One step closer to him being off the roster. Granted, it is early, but it looks like Jared Wilson is the leader in the clubhouse at LG, and Ben Brown is currently viewed by the staff as the backup center. Seems like Strange might be left without a chair when the music stops.

But if he isn't really good in either spot then what is the point?

Heard Chism has been with the 3s a lot, Today he was with Dobbs so i suppose that means he was with the 2s? Still dominated by the sounds of it.

I was just going to post this. If think Drake is primed for a huge year now that he has Josh and some of the new weapons along with an improved line. He's going to make the line better than it is.
Drake still has no picks in camp, an occasional miss but throwing guys open, hitting small windows.

I expect a huge jump in Red Zone success with Josh calling the plays. Between Josh's ingenuity and Drake's ability to run and throw on the run I expect a big improvement in the Red Zone.

39 Day to go!

But if he isn't really good in either spot then what is the point?
Right, that's part of what the coaches are deciding. Is he that much worse of a center than Brown? If so, that will decide it. If not, his ability to play guard might be enough to give him the edge.

Chism has been very quiet so far in training camp. This is the first time I remember him being mentioned. He looks to be practice squad bound unless he starts to show what he showed in minicamp soon.
