Supposedly he looks amazing so far in TC.
This could be another situation like Ladd Mcconkey where its obvious Pats picked the wrong player. Will Campbell will not be in the same top tier as Simmons.

Simmons was my guy too.

Hope this isn’t the case.

Marone was the driving force behind our pick.
Time will tell.

If true...

He was a risk pick given the circumstances... he went where most thought he would.
I wanted a trade down if we were taking a tackle I was adamant about that. I wanted to move up and take the Unicorn in Hunter or the monster in Carter.
Or trade down a bit and take Tet or Warren.

As long as Will keeps Drake upright it was a solid pick.

Like the Dynasty Patriots, KC has the luxury of taking chances on oft-injured / seriously injured prospects. Sometimes (Gronk) you hit a HR. Other times (Easley) you swing & miss. Long term : too many misses leaves your cupboard bare.

I don't even think this is the same category as Ladd. This was all medical.

Also good for Simmons for putting the injury behind him so quickly but still a long way to go before we decide the best Tackle in this draft.

Calling someone the steal of the draft and we havent even left TC yet. Gimme a ****ing break man. Are you always sky is falling? Why is Campbell not in the same tier? Why are you already writing Campbell off? He’s looked solid in TC as well.

LT was such a need that we had little choice. Any move down the board came with the risk of missing out on a tier. Simmons could have gone anywhere from #10 - #32. As long as Campbell proves a good LT, I will be satisfied with the decision.

With our luck since the last Superbowl, Simmons would've been another Dominque Easley for us with injury problems not the stud he is so far in TC lol

perfect summation.

What did the Chiefs have one or two padded practices thus far? Are we already going to make statements like the Pats drafted the wrong guy a week into training camp where both the Pats and Chiefs mostly did practices in shells?

To your credit Sam, you are undeniably consistent in the glass half empty. Bravo.
