Sometimes they do duplicate numbers for offense and defense. If he's important to you, don't give up hope.

This always happens in training camp, duplicate numbers because there aren't enough numbers to issue to everyone, Offense and Defense wear different colors, so it isn't odd to see numbers repeated on either side.

Would be nice to hear an update.

Lampe was getting a lot of consideration from the fans when projecting their rosters.

I have been hearing only good things about him, so it would be a surprise to let him go for someone with no chance to make the roster.
