I’ll go with one of these 3. None are a lock to make the team:
Rham
Pop
Strange

Tbh after back to back 4-13 seasons and a new regime there should be only a few untouchable players right now.

They’re locks except for Strange who is in a contract year. If Strange is unhealthy or not the same from his injury, or if Sidy Sow is simply too good to keep out of the starting lineup they could try trading him.

Douglas and Rham are too good to cut, if Rham had extreme fumblitis maybe, but if he’s not getting the snot kicked out of him behind the worst line in the world it won’t look so bad. Gibson also has a career history of putting the ball on the ground. No matter how good Henderson is, you still need a stable of backs… not just one or two.

Strange, Bourne, Polk, Jennings, Tavai, Lowe, Boutte all would not surprise me

He's not hating, it's "surprise" cut. Polk would not be a surprise cut, Pop would be.

I'm going with Strange and injury related.
Pop is small and isn't a blocker. I'm not convinced he would fit in with what Josh wants to do on offense. If they want to move on from him it would be a surprise to cut him outright instead of first trying to find a trade partner. We'll see what happens.

They could but not sure if they'll find a partner. He hasn't been healthy and when he has he hasn't exactly been all world.

I think Wolf has some regrets about that contract he gave him. Rham was good a couple seasons ago... meh since then. 4.0 YPC in 2023 and 3.9 YPC in 2024... most JAG backs could do that without the big contract. And yes the fumbles.

I think he's a candidate. We'll see.

They would trade Rham.

I don't see Pop. It would send the wrong message.

Strange has been stealing from Kraft.

Hollins, Lowe are names to keep an eye on. Both players while veterans haven't been able to physical participate all off season due to shoulder issues. Essentially Lowe is fighting for a back up role and Hollins is a complimentary player. As I've mentioned if Chism or Boutte wich I'd expect take full advantage of thier snaps then Vrabel goes with the young guys with upside.

Pop is about the same size as Welker. Pop has speed and quickness to excel in the slot. He can beat coverage and has a excellent hands.

Given how important the slot WR is in Josh’s offenses I’d be surprised if both Pop and F-ton don’t make the roster. Unless the plan is for Diggs to play a lot of slot

apart from the players drafted in rounds 1,2,3 the only surprises - for me - would be Maye and Gonzales.

Surprised no one said Efton Chism….

Knowing he's the OC King of using Slot WR's; I don't think McDaniels share your opinion of Pop Douglas. I think he could be a perennial 900 yds WR in a McDaniels system with Diggs as #1. Last year is dead to me.

Rham has trade value, and his dead cap is higher than the cap hit.

Pop is on a rookie contract. Definitely trade value, if anything.

It's all the same for Strange too.

The type of situation where cuts happen is someone like Bourne who has a small cap hit, but even he likely has trade value.

They already made their surprise cuts like Andrews and trading Milton.

Let’s be more realistic work these cuts

Hooper, Gibson,Hollins,Bourne, Tavai, Dugger, Baker, Polk, Mapu, Dobbs, Chasisson.

Last season Jonathan Kraft was calling plays.. .. Drake was the only QB who remembered Pop was a slot wr. Pop and Welker are both about the same size and same level of quickness both have great hands.

Gibson only if Henderson really catches on in camp, and makes him expendable.. Hollins is name to watch, Hooper I'd add.. Hollins for sure.
