The Bill megathread (HC at UNC, girlfriend, etc.)

As always, this issue was initiated by Kraft, aka The Neediest Man Alive.Jesus, he's just pathetic.
He was as blessed as we fans were to have the perfect storm of QB/HC fall into our laps.

Maybe he got blinded by their brightness.

Just remember they said the same about us. We’ll see
I don't see Mahomes getting all the calls like before.

The Mahomes deliberate flopping out of bounds did not help. Crying on the bench losing the Suoer Bowl. He did not get the calls in the Super Bowl that normally go his way.

The NFL is sick of them and it's time to move on to a better storyline.

KC has it even better this year. They play six playoff teams and all but one at home.
We have no idea in July how hard their schedule is or how many playoff teams they have on their schedule.

I missed this bit of news. You could be right.

The problem is that you can select any 3 refs at random, and be able to find games they officiated where the Chiefs got the benefit of atrocious calls.

This is Jerry/Jimmy all over again.
Nah, Jerry waited for them to have two years of real success before he got jealous as **** and ran off Jimmy. Bill/Brady/Kraft lasted longer than any owner/coach/qb trio in history and had unparallel success and at this point it looks like we only lost 3 years of Brady and Bill only had 4 years left in the league and likely won't coach in it again. Even in a best case scenario we were pretty much done or very close to done when it ended.

You see the situation differently than I do.

It's not about time lapsed/tenure.

It's about importance.

Kraft really might be petty enough to try keeping BB out of the Patriots HOF. Which would be tragic.

He's keeping Chuck Fairbanks out of the NEP HOF for reason/s unknown to me, so who knows?

BB is a hypocrite and is about to be embarrassed by a terrible UNC team he has put together.
What happened to "No days off"?
He has been screwing around at golf events and charity events during peak recruiting season while making a fool of himself kissing gold digger bunny’s ass.

What an embarrassment to UNC. Can't wait for his 5 win season and no bowl invites.

I’m not sure if you understand this Sam but this is Belichick’s first recruiting class, the team he is fielding is mostly that of his predecessor. So while I realize that your hate for him knows no bounds, your criticism of “ his terrible UNC team” is, as always, completely ignorant.

P.S. seek help. And I mean that in the nicest way, you are in dire need of it.

You mean YOU have no idea. The NYFL playoffs are very predictable considering half the teams make it.
Phi, Bal, Det, Was, Buf and Hou are likely going to be good again.

We have some idea. Always a few surprises but most of the time we have a general idea of whether a team is bound for playoffs or not

So if UNC succeeds this year the credit goes to the former coach? I don't think so. It's Bill's team win or lose. They got him for his coaching and his name may have brought in better prospects. We'll see.

I don't follow college ball normally but I will this year. And I'll be pulling for UNC.

And YOU have no idea either.

Whoa. Way to go out on a limb there. And tell us, genius, how are the Chargers and Broncos going to do? Who is the 4-loss team from last year that will make the playoffs this year? Which one of last year's final 4 will go 8-9?

The law of averages tells us they have 7 to 9 playoff teams on their schedule. You think you know who those teams are in July. Rest assured, you're wrong.

No one questions that he inherited a mediocre team at best - so the ball is in his court to show how much more he can get out of another guy's players.

Sadly, because of his self-created pressure, people will judge him a failure for a mediocre season one, as unfair as that would be.

Agree but every coaching hire has some level of uncertainty and risk. I'd argue Pete Carroll was more of a risk than Bill. Mayo was a risk. Vrabel seems less of a risk but this is the first time Vrabes has personnel control so we'll see.

At least BB built a 11 win team from a 3-13 team the year before he arrived that went to a div playoff with the cheapest owner in the NFL who submarined his own team's season.
I think with Bill they saw a different type of risk that you wouldn’t see in someone like Pete Carroll. Bill’s reputation was that he was a prickly pear and hard to deal with… some may say a real reactionary like the Sheriff of Malibu.
