Terry C is disgruntled in DC, maybe this opens up an opportunity to swing a trade.

One of the most consistent WRs in the game and in his prime. Not a elite elite like Chase, Jefferson or Lamb but damn good, definitely a number one that requires other teams to adjust game plans.

Not sure of compensation but maybe two 2nd rounders or a 2nd and 3rd the next year.

I would make this deal, we have the cap and have a dire need for playmakers in the passing game.

Why is he disgruntled?

don't think they will trade him...
don't think this team would be willing to pay their asking price if they would move him...
but sure, a call wouldn't hurt...

Edit... its about money...

Is he worth 30 million a year? oof...

I would do a 2nd and a 3rd the following year for McLaurin. He would raise the bar for their entire receiving unit, and would greatly enhance Maye’s development. That said I don’t think it will happen because it would be a big setback for Daniel’s.

I don’t see Washington moving him for the reasons you stated above but a second and a third or a second and Bourne or Polk.

Would you trade Stevenson for Terry?

The redskins are not going to trade him... they have him for a few more years (last year of deal, + a tag or two)... But if they were willing to move him you all need a add a 1st round pick to these potential trade packages to approach the actual trade value of a guy like McLaurin...

I doubt Washington would want to trade him. Really good WRs hitting their prime don’t grow on trees. They got the QB, the team is up and coming, he’s not a guy you try to trade. Players like McClaurin get paid, cap keeps rising and really good players make really good money.

Washington won’t trade him…

If they do, it will be to some idiot team willing to spend too high a draft pick and spend too much on a new contract.

Do I want him? Yes, but you don’t trade a high draft pick, then pay a top of the market contract because you just paid twice for one player.

The only way this should/could happen is if Washington is willing to trade him for a late round draft pick. So it won’t likely happen.

Being in DC I’ve gotten to see him play a bit. He’s a very good WR and has been productive with a number of very mediocre QB’s and an offense that has at times been a total dumpster fire.

I agree with the above posters. This is a smart holdout by a key player for Washington. Both sides want him to stay in DC.

He will stay, he will get paid.

That’s a really good question. After giving it some thought I would trade Stephenson, but I would then make it a 3rd round pick. I think Stephenson is going to have a good season, but I really like McLaurin, and I think they can get it done in the run game with Henderson, Gibson, and Larson. And that just clears more $$ off of their cap. ( actually paying McLaurin would offset the savings from Stephenson contract.

He's had production even with the worst QBs including Brissett. With the success he and Daniels tasted last season new ownership supposedly a new direction it's a mystery was Washington isn't willing to pay him. He's definitely a top 10ish wr in the league.. if Vrabel traded for him it most certainly would have to come with a new deal.. for a 30 year old wr..

Top 10? iffy... Until this past year he produced yards, not points...

it doesn't matter , they aren't trading him, and we wouldn't pay the price if they would

He'd definitely be Top 10 WR on the Pats.

I'd say yes.. many didn't get to see him play because Washington was hardly on national games. He's had production in the league. I agree they aren't trading him.. I still feel like there's another move Vrabel's going to make on offense. However if he didn't we have plenty to work with on offense IMO..

I liken what Terry did for Daniels last season to what Diggs will do for Drake. Be a reliable veteran presence and key on 3rd down. Terry is great for you guys offense, and it seems to be centered around him. Also I've heard nothing but accolades about his work of the field as well.
