During OTAs, Stefon Diggs workin' it hard

Agreed! Vrabel and diggs are both veterans in the NFL and understand how optics are.. Diggs likely was apologetic for his actions.. and I'm sure Vrabel was emphatic about culture. I'm not saying Vrabel wanted to have to deal with this, But it's going to be a good thing he's dealing with it now with camp around the corner.
Yep.

Nip it in the bud.

With that said if the pink substance was coke and he tests positive, Vrabel and NEP may not have a choice if he doesn't play.

Agreed and it's logical... I just think if anything Stef was just not making a good choice by being video. I really hope Vrabel comes out this week and just makes as statement to end it and move forward towards training camp next month. So far he's gotten 4 million.

I have to think he'll be getting a "random" test very soon, if not already.

Isn't Doug the media? lol

The only thing I'm worried about is the NFL doing something about this. They don't need to prove anything. As we know all they need to do is say they BELIEVE something is more probable than not. Given there is video they can do that whenever they chose. I doubt they will considering the kind of things they've looked the other way on WRs for. But Diggs wouldn't get as much slack as a guy like Hill would, even for a much lesser issue.

But even if they NFL doesn't do anything this still hurts the Patriots. You only get to set a new tone once and if people don't buy in that's it.

I don't expect every second of Stefon's day to be dedicated to football and rehab. That simply isn't practical. But to hand around whatever that is on a boat while other gets put in work at OTAs sends a bad message to every guy on the locker room.

As for what is best to do about it. Vrabel should ask Diggs to quietly make the rounds to teammates about how he messed up but now his head is back in it. As for Diggs making a public statement, best to leave that to lawyers when drugs are involved and it could become a legal matter. Will he do those things? Idk. But it seems clear it is likely some kind of brand product. So weed/THC and not a different class of drug. Which is a simpler matter, but still could cause action by the NFL.
I think this is a pretty bad take, he is 6-7 months post op and there have been numerous videos of him working out and showing the significant progress he has made. As far as rehab goes that day could have been a scheduled day off, so your issue is that he was living "Boats and Ho's". I assure you that everyone on the team has had a day off, so in my mind this is a non issue. Just my thought

Looks like the PR campaign is on.

This is who Diggs is though on the field, even the practice field. Is he a boy scout off the field? No, I’m sure we’ll see more stories of him in questionable circumstances the longer he is here. But on the field and around the team, he can have a hugely positive impact in his competitiveness and the way he pushes himself and the guys around him to play at a high level. He raises the intensity. You need that.

As long as he’s not getting in actual legal trouble off the field, just give me this version of him on the field.
