Instead of paying for that scumbag POS Spotify, pay some goddamn $$ here for some genuine and lovely original content brought to you by the makers of Hasbro Toys and that Milton Bradley fella. Where else can you find a thread 150 pages long discussing a 24 yr old GF of some old dude? Need Therapy? We got some guy named Wozzy telling you that you're wrong all the time even though you can prove everything you say, but, you're still wrong. It will either make you a believer/zombie or in need of some blood pressure medication. Need some warm and fuzzies? We got a sweet guy who thinks he's a cat and another real fan who will tell you you're right if you disagree with him. Don't get me started on those meme guys for chrissake...

No place better.

Great site - probably the only place I visit multiple times per day every day all year round, except sometimes the day after a bad loss when I wonder if the Pats are worth my time.
So thanks Ian and glad to be a supporter.

And @mgteich, the login would only be for the first one (the annual), which is an auto-renewal, and you would only need the PayPal account for the sake of being able to cancel it (albeit, I can do it on my end if anyone ever needs me to - just message me). The others don't require that.

I'm going to be doing away with that one at some point because I know there are people who get hit with it, having forgotten about it. It ends up throwing things off, so both the monthly and that one will be going away. As helpful as those might be, I'd rather not have it create a challenge for anybody. So for now, for anyone else who does donate, please use the non-recurring one.

I liked the 5 year deal, which I don't see anymore.. LOL

It's still there. But it won't show up for anyone who is currently in the middle of it, which you currently are, and that's why you're not seeing it. Won't be visible again until it expires.

Damn, I need to donate again. I think I disconnected my PayPal from everything a while back cuz’ The Athletic auto charged me like $70 and I had to complain for a refund.

Sometimes my wife says I’m oblivious to everything around me, I have been with this, I wasn’t aware we could donate to support. Done.

Bump…..

Apologies @Ian for allowing my support to lapse. Corrected thru @DaBruinz timely (apparently based on your comments about the time of year) reminder, so 50% credit to him.

As a hard-core lurker I’ve been w you since late season 2000-2001. (thru server crash et al) so you & my wife have been pretty much the only constants in my life. Haha.

Seriously, it’s a great product & place in web. Keep it going.

Wow, was offline for a good portion of last night and just saw this. Completely humbled, and wanted to say thank you to everybody, as there were a bunch of you who were incredibly generous overnight.

As @DaBruinz alluded to (shoutout to him for this thread), I registered the domain back in June of 2000 (I think it was June 17th), which is crazy, and definitely can't believe it's been this long. Many of you played a role in the recent server changeover, which was massive because behind the scenes, that whole situation became a little stressful at the end. I'm incredibly grateful for that, and hopefully we're good with this one for a while.

The online climate as a whole is really not great right now in terms of the shifting in search trends, AI, etc, which is crushing independent sites when it comes to search traffic. As a result, it's really hurting ad revenue for everybody. Here, at least monthly, there are the server costs, licenses, Cloudflare, and a few other things. Overall, I basically ride the wave and the season tends to balance out the offseason, albeit the overall interest in the team the last two years in late Oct, Nov, Dec really had a tough impact. Definitely need that to turn around.

I don't run ads for registered users, because I just need it to sustain itself. But the arrow continues to point downward, and I shudder to think what we'll be up against in the coming years. It is what it is, but I'm sure I'll figure it out. But any of you who might know someone who has a site, I'm sure they've probably said something. If you have another site you visit in whatever industry they're in, if they're an independent site and they're helpful to you, please help them out if you can ... because it's not awesome right now.

In the meantime, thank you all so much. It definitely means a lot. As always, I'll continue to keep my head down and keep working on this place, primarily because - as I've mentioned - it also helps clear my head from the day-to-day. But the relationships I've made with so many of you over the years has both kept me motivated and helped get me through some times where things have been difficult. The PMs many of you send throughout the year, whether you're just checking in, inquiring about something, etc. are always appreciated.

And as I told someone who recently messaged me, if you spot something that isn't working or have any suggestions, please send them. Always assume I don't know or that I've made an error - because that's probably a correct assumption.
So maybe the argument has been wrong this whole time. Maybe it wasn’t Brady or Bellichik who turned the franchise around in the early 2000’s, it was actually Ian and this site.

This is something I’ve been meaning to ing to do all the way back during my lurker years. I’ll do my part this week though. I know first hand how not cheap this sort of thing can be PLUS this place is a home to me. A place where you can see such great content from such great posters, captain stone, Pape, Real, and even Sam Bam! It’s like our own dysfunctional family if you will! Where else can you see great things from Bacon and be put down by other posters in the same post! And also RLKAG.

I’d love to, but money is super tight right now. Maybe next year?

Jk….I’ll send via PP. Thanks for all that you do, Ian.

my only regret is I only have one subscription to this site

Done. Thought I needed Paypal all this time...
