The Bill megathread (HC at UNC, girlfriend, etc.)

The 6 rings as a HC matter a lot more than the other 2. Embarrassing to consider them as equal.

Or maybe you think Matt Patricia having 3 Super Bowl rings is more impressive than Mike Tomlin having 2.... Or Josh McDaniels with 6 > Andy Reid with 4...
Funny how you don't subtract the SB wins they got with their best QBs? Your bias keeps showing. Jets fans have trouble living in reality though.

You're in the Bill mega thread and it appears counting is hard for you. How many rings is he wearing?

Brady can try and play again or can try and coordinate if he thinks he can still get 8 or 9 until then Bill has more as hard as it may be for you to accept.
It isn't hard for me to accept at all. I have no problem with Bill riding Brady's coattails for every achievement he ever had as a Head Coach. I mean, someone had to.

I don't live in your false reality.
IOW, you live in denial. Because my statement is 100% true, no matter how much it triggers you.

When discussing their careers as Head Coaches, Rex Ryan is very comparable to Belichick-without-Brady. In fact any intelligent, impartial analysis would give Ryan the edge.

But you keep telling me they don't count at all because he never won anything without Brady when in fact he's won 2 SBs without Brady. That's one more than Brady did without Bill. 8 is more than 7.

Show me an NFL coach who didn't use a QB.

Ok if we do that then Bill has no SB rings as a HC. You were saying?

In order for this to be of value you need to remove 20 years of stats from the other coaches. Then come back.

What's hilarious is he doesn't realize that Brady probably will catch up to, and quite likely pass, Belichick in the total-rings count if we get to include every ring they ever received at any job within an organization.

How many does Lombardi, Reid, or Tomlin have without their best QB?

Not true. I'll take Rex Ryan's stats without Brady any day of the week over Bill Belichick's stats without Brady.

I'm rooting for him.

When discussing their respective head coaching careers, Reid went to 4 CCG's plus 1 SB without his best QB. Belichick won all of 1 playoff game without his.

Not true. I'll take Rex Ryan's stats without Brady any day of the week over Bill Belichick's stats without Brady.
You apparently have no clue how to do fair statistically analysis. If you want to remove a large data set from one it's only fair to do a similar curve for anyone else who you want to compare. So like I said if you want to subtract 20 years of Bill without his best QB you should do the same for anyone else who you want to compare him too.

This is exactly what I'm talking about when I say Bill's legacy is crumbling by his own doing.

Personally, I don't tie the two things together much if at all.

A person can be a hard-ass and a bad-ass for a long and brilliant career, then coast as things wind down.

It's really, really rare that someone leaves at their peak and on their own terms and locks their legacy down.

Tom Landry was a legend, but he was getting his ass kicked when he was replaced by Jimmy Jones.

I love TFB12, but that last season in Tampa was ugly. He was getting his ass kicked and most of his teammates tuned him out.

The fact that BB doesn't give a **** now doesn't mean he didn't give a **** during the Dynasty Era.

The fact that UNC is willing to pay top dollar for someone mailing it in says more about UNC than Bill, IMO.

No you're not.
I love Tom Brady of course I am. Just because you hate one of the 2 doesn't mean I can't love them both. Nice try again.

So he won zero SBs got it.

Why don't you go ahead and start a Rex Ryan thread and talk about your hero there. This thread is a mega thread for the greatest coach in all of sports Bill Belichick.

You know we're scraping the bottom of the barrel when the discussion turns to Pat Patriot vs Flying Elvis.

We've passed 100 pages, should we declare this the ultimate ****-posting thread?
Now we're re-litigating Camera Gate. Hooray!

Over/under on pages in this thread?

200? 250?

We're now on to BB vs TB!

300 pages?
