I think the 53 will be 4 TE/FB....4 guys at those two positions, not a FB and 4 TEs

Yep, 4 total at most in those roles.

It could very well be 3 guys, with one serving as TE3/FB hybrid. The rest go safely onto the PS and are promoted if/when needed. There's zero reason to fear poaching of a FB or fringe TE.

Speaking of poaching, it's a 2 way street. Another realistic scenario is that the eventual TE3 and/or FB are players currently on another team's 90.

From the little snippets I have seen so far of how Chism is running drills I'm not sure you will be able to stash him on the PS. He may not have top end speed but he seems to have a lot of quickness and seems very smooth in the drills.

That's great to hear! But We've been down this road before.. with players.. I'll need to see him in real competitive situations with pads on when it's 90 degrees, and humidity with the sun beating down on him.. and in the joint practices we have this camp

That will tell us more.. for now I'll temper my expectations.

That's right brother! We have so many guys right now.. realistically likely 4 of them will likely be in the regular rotation seeing significant snaps... IMO

I agree but Moses has a lot of trouble staying on the field. I am not sure he is 100% even after an off-season. Some bumps and bruises are permanent.

He left the game week 3 and was done for the season with a knee right? I know he was mentioning it on Tuesday....

Depending on how everything goes between now and Opening Day, I can picture him making the 53 as Pop's backup while Diggs is placed on PUP to begin the season and Williams, Hollins, Booty & (Only if he "restructures") Bourne as the other WRs...

Looks like he actually has been pretty good at staying on the field most of his career.

We are now stuck waiting till May 28th which i believe to be the next open OTA... Then June 2nd.

Personally i think all practices and OTAs should be open the selected media personnel. It isn't like they are going to share your playbook with anyone else.... plus they couldn't figure it all out anyway...

After all the idiotic media hoopla about Mays' INTs, I can understand why the practices are closed to the press....

I hope to limp into some training camp session myself and see what is really going on, not have to put up with the pablum from the media. I remember years ago at Bryant intently watching the Patriots work our while the media drones were not paying attention...waiting for the injury reports and cap space info I guess.
