Celtics 2024-2025 Discussion

They got away with the 3 point strategy last year but the league caught up with them this year. That and the injuries did them in.

And now their hands are tied when it comes to Tatum and Brown who are both injured.

I'm sure glad they got #18 last year. The next one could be a long time from now.
The next one might be a very, very long time from now. I can see Tatum and Brown traded in the next couple years or at least before their contracts are up. Re stock and reload. Thats why if somehow you could trade Brown to Dallas along with 4-5 first rounders etc that might work. He is hitting his prime, he fits more what they need as I have said before. Flagg doesn't fit their timeline at all. He will be rotting there and wanting out by the time he is developed. Won't happen because Dallas is dumb as rocks.

I posted the restrictions on the Celtics due to them being on the 2nd apron. One is:

First-round picks seven years out are frozen (unable to be traded)

Yep, and the Cs ate that **** up during negotiations for the CBA. Wyc loved it.

*******, now the Cs are going to pay the price. So they will be trading someone to get under that apron. Hell I would look to get under the 1st apron. Team is going nowhere next season, might as well reset and plan for the future at this point.

Brown and Tatum (especially Tatum) could be considered damaged goods.

The thing is with the in transition to chilsom.. the Cs need a face of the organization and a lure for guys to come here and that's where Tatum thrives so much. I believe here's here for the long term.. Brown is the likely player traded before his contract ends. I think it's safe to say we probably have seen the last of porzingas and possibly holiday this season. One of those contacts have to be moved.

wow, we went from a possible dynasty team to the window being slammed shut. That escalated quickly

What a douchebag response.

You clearly have something against him.

No use having a debate.
I do indeed have something against him: his incompetence. Perhaps it is you who are blinded to the facts by some irrelevant agenda, or ideological anxiety. I no longer live in Mass., so I am free to say what I objectively see. Perhaps you are not.

Incompetent coaches don't average 60 wins a season and win championships.

I suggest you keep your opinion to yourself because you come off as ignorant and clueless about what a hc coach does.

My god, that was beautiful. Just going to root for Pacers over everyone now. Hard not to like a team that just provided not one, not two, but three of the most improbable comebacks in NBA playoff history, in the span of a few weeks. And doing it all without just one player dominating…total group effort.

How do you miss a dunk when all alone?

The Knicks aren't that good, they beat a weak ass Celtics team.

Holy cow. I came back from a trip so I was tired and turned it off when the Knicks went up 16 in the fourth. Oops.

That’s a really amazing comeback. I do hate that choking thing Haliburton does though

I loved every bit of it.. the pace the Pacers play at will have the Knicks gassed by game 3.. rooting for a OKC/Pacers finals.

Just crazy. They were up nine with under a minute left
The Pacers are the real clutch team.. they have done this over and over.. it's deflating to a team.. the Knicks looked gassed... they can't play at Pacers speed.. even though the Knicks were up they were forced to play out if thier comfort zone.

Well that plus Nesmith’s INSANE shooting

I find myself pulling for Indy even though, well, it's Indy. Maybe that's the Carlisle influence. I've always liked him.
