Vrabel and staff will be evaluating veterans and deciding whether they are part of the future or whether we are better off moving on. This does NOT, does NOT mean that these players can't play in this league, or even that they can't be a good starter for someone else.

What veteran do you think MIGHT be cut or traded?

As I have said before, I don't consider last year's rookies in this category. They are veterans. They need to be viewed totally in terms of potential. They may be cut, but the team will go out of their way to help them make the 53 and succeed.

Plenty of them:

Bourne WR-Could end up in Dallas for 5th.

Lowe-He sucks, period. Get rid of him and keep Wallace as the swing tackle.

Sow-He’s on the bubble.

Schweitzer- Also on the bubble

Tavai-Not sure whether Vrabel will keep him around

Pharms-Bubble

Hawkins-Epps could end up with his spot.

I know everyone hates Tavai for calling out the fans but who's knocking him off the roster? Gibbens, Spillane, and Ellis?

Veterans who may not be here at the end of camp

1. G Cole Strange - depends on the knee
2. S Kyle Dugger - does he look better this year vs last, if not days might be numbered
3. LB Jahlani Tavai - a douche canoe with a real knack of communicating with the fans
4. OL Sidy Sow - a slew of new arrivals might mean bye bye for the once promising Sidy Sow
5. WR Kendrick Bourne - if they can move him, they will

thats all i got for now

I'll differ with you on Schweitzer. Not saying he's a lock, but as one of Vrabel's guys, he has a leg up on some of the other guys.

You’re probably right, I wasn’t aware he was one of. Rabel’s guys, and I know he can play 3 OL positions, so he could very well end up sticking.

I'd be sorry to see KB go. He was injured last year but I thought that, when he came back, he was one of the bright spots on the offense, along with Henry, Douglas and Hooper.

As for the defense, last year was a horror show. The D line was terrible, but the off-the-ball linebackers and strong safeties weren't much better. On the basis of '23, I have hopes for Dugger, Peppers, Mapu and White, but the body of work from '24 doesn't make much of a case. If they get lost in the re-build, so be it.

Dugger played last year with a busted ankle. Blame the coaches for trotting him out there like that.

Barring health issues, he should look light years better.

Hope he does. If he doesn't, he's a possible cut candidate.

realistically, almost everyone is auditioning for a roster spot this year. Its a brand new day.

Rham could be a surprise departure, leaving Gibson, Henderson, and Larison as the RB roster.

I think it’s most likely he stays but I would not be shocked if he’s not on team when the season opens.

Tavai is the anti "Patriot Way" player and needs to go. Vrabel has kept his word and gotten rid of most of the "entitled" players with only him and Bourne left. If he makes the team, this will be his last season as his cap hit is more favorable next season.

Mayo was desperate for wins and the team just threw a lot of money to him and Christian Barmore in the off-season. If Vrabel plays him how BB played him when they had McCourty and Phillips deep, he'll have a bounce back year. He was more effective when he played the Chung role with limited snaps. His play dipped as his snaps increased being the main guy at S.

If you're a veteran, you better outplay the rookies. It's a new regime, the tie always goes to the rookie. Lowe, Sow, Epps, Bourne, Jennings, Bradbury, and Hollins all should be playing like they belong here. They don't get training wheels.

Bournes cap hit is mostly all salary and pregame bonus. A post June cut saves 6 mil on the 2025 cap.

Stevenson cant be fumbling, bumbling and stumbling. A trade - if somebody bites - saves a ton of money compared to his dead money.

Both players need to sleep with 1 eye open.
