Imo we are good at IDL

Problem is, if White has to bump inside, we’re relying on Chaisson or Stinson to contribute starter-level pass rush reps.

I believe Williams wants to keep white inside.. his strength is an interior rusher.. chaisson and gibbens as well as Swinson can give us some pass rush versatility..

I think that we have the right number (7 DL, 4 EDGE, 4 ILB). I just think that I would like an upgrade of Pharms or Roy.

we have Spillane, Tavai, Ellis and Gibbens, with Mapu waiting in the wings. I suspect that Spillane and/or Gibbens can take rep on the outside if needed.

White is going to play outside about ⅔ of the time and at DT about ⅓ of the time. That’s basically what he did last season, and it’s also an easy projection to the new defense because it’s what Vrabel’s Titans did with Denico Autry from 2021-2023.

I have confidence that Chaisson would thrive with starter reps. I think we will see Williams playing on the edge often as well.

Everybody me included always seems to forget Jennings. Important to remember him for this conversation.

I am really excited to see Jennings in a more attacking defense. At Bama Jennings was proficient at getting to the QB, he is a better edge setter than pass rusher right now but I think it has more to do with what has been his primary responsibility.
