2025 DRAFT Day 3: BPA

Edge.

Developmental OT.

Coverage Safety.

I want @manxman2601 to tell us what's coming. It's obvious by now Pats scouts spent all these months partying and then gave Wolf manx's list of who to draft.

Assuming we look to add some help on defense today. Here are my favorite targets...

EDGE
Bradyn Swinson
Elijah Roberts
Kyle Kennard
Barryn Sorrell

DT
Ty Robinson
Aeneas Peebles
Tonka Hemingway
Yahya Black

CB
Bilhal Kone

S
Kitan Crawford
Craig Woodson

LB
Jeffrey Bassa
Kobe King

Not listed above:

BJ Mayes CB Texas A&M
Thor Griffith DT Louisville

Outside of that early 4th, it'll be a dart throw in R5 and R7

Ohio State DE Jack Sawyer would be a great way to start the day or maybe even a CB (Burke, Riley, Strong)

As for the dart throws:
5) Malachi Moore, S, Alabama
5) Mitchell Evans, TE, ND
5) Xavier Restrepo, WR, MIami
7) Trevor Etienne, RB, UGA
7) Hollin Pierce, OT, Rutgers

I'd love to see us add a blocking TE or 3rd down RB

Hawes
CJ Dippre
LeQuint Allen
Marcus Yarns
Woody Marks

Of course reuniting Drake with some of his college teammates would be an added bonus...

Willie Lampkin. Too small to play G but could be a great FB.

Bryson Nesbit. Drake's binky in the redzone.

According to ESPN minus a certain QB lol

I'm not above repeating myself. What this draft lacked at the top it more than makes up for in depth. There's still plenty of meat on the bone heading into day 3, impressive.

Yeah, I'm looking at every teams picks and I'm like "oooh, nice picks". I think there's a lot of quality depth left too. There's a number of players left that would be second rounders most years.

When the smoke clears this may well be remembered as one of the deeper drafts in recent memory. I'm not saying it's going to top '83 but it might end up being in the conversation with '04 or '11 for overall quality.

2011 was the best draft I've seen but I think it will be remembered for it's first round rather than it's depth. Having said that, Justin Houston in the 3rd, Richard Sherman in the 5th and Jason Kielce in the 6th is pretty darn deep.

I have loved the depth in this draft and was really looking forward to yesterday where I thought it was hard to go wrong. Yesterday certainly lived up to my expectations.

Hopefully a couple of UDFA's, too, pressing to make the roster.

I'm over TE for this draft. I dont see the need for a blocking TE. Would rather that TE3 continue ti be Bell, to see what he can become. Take a young TE next year to be the long term answer.

At RB, I'd be fine with Brashard Smith because his upside is so high, and he won't necessarily be counted on right away. But a typical 3rd down back IMO, isn't needed. I'd go the other way. Give me a possible Rhamondre replacement. Damien Martinez. If Rhamondre keeps putting the ball on the turf, we'll need a hammer to complement Henderson.

I dont know if there's room for 6 more guys to make the roster. A lot of times you see depth WR's or developmental OL make it. But our OL room is littered with young, unproven guys on rookie deals(Sow, Robinson, Andrews, Wallace, on top of the 2 rookies this year), and the WR room is full of young WR3-5. I'd like to see a DE, DT, and a slot corner. If we only made 3 picks and moved the other picks to '26, I'd be fine with that.

Although I still find myself wanting to add Tory Horton to the roster!

My dream scenario

106 - Bradyn Swinson
144- CJ Dippre
146- Jeffrey Bassa
171- Craig Woodson
220- Thor Griffith
238- BJ Mayes

Love the Farmer pick. Would've been fine with him at 95 or 106.

To paraphrase Meat Loaf: 3 out of 6 ain't bad...

EDIT: made my post before reading the other posts about the very same thing, sorry...

For the record, I would've drafted Jalen Royals at 106. Plenty of seats still available in the WR room, especially for Outside types who don't Suck.
