DRAFT Welcome to New England, LSU OT Will Campbell

I just watched his press conference today and his visit to the unfiltered show. He says all the right things. If the talent matches his heart and character we have a very special guy and leader moving forward.

I think we can put aside our concerns that Membou could be better given the Jets picked him.
I’m on a road trip so listening to the Sirius NFL channel a lot. Heard a Jete fan call in this afternoon crying about how Membou and his family were visibly unexcited about him being drafted by the Jets, he’s already checked out, and that it was so obvious that the draft night telecast cut away after about five seconds. The announcing team didn’t argue and in fact was totally agreeing. From all that my prediction is Membou will bank the paychecks and show nothing on the field, probably be out of the league in six years if he 3ven gets a second contract.

Not sure Owenu gives a **** now that he got paid
This. Total lack of fire and leadership by the supposed top dog of the OL. Plus, he’s been showing up to TC in poor conditioning and FAT.

Solution? Bring in Morgan Moses. Draft Will Campbell. A very good sign that the culture is shifting in a good direction.

Oh dear. Is this you reacting to the Campbell pick?

It's been said that pictures [that don't move] are worth a thousand words. MOVING pictures? I mean an animated gif might have 30fps, so we're talking THOUSANDS of words. Quite efficient, really.
I think these pictures do an admirable job of conveying the level of sophistication of those who post them. In that respect, they are indeed very expressive.

I'm rooting for Campbell to be an elite LT.

John Hannah was drafted 4. I’m okay with that pick even if it was a guard. If Campbell arm was one inch longer there would be no debate about this pick He athletically rated the highest of all lineman. He played well against about five DL that went in the first round. Why are we killing this guy before we even see him play? It’s
Having to bring up John Hannah is the very reason why drafting a LG at #4 is dumb. You are agreeing that in order for it to be a good thing to draft a LG at #4 means they need to be the greatest to ever play LG.

It's the same reason why drafting a TE at #4 would be dumb.

They would have to be Rob Gronkowski to be worth it.

If Campbell could still become a top 10-15 LT in this league then it was worth it, as LT is that valuable. I'm hoping he can be better than that.

Campbell introduced right away to the media. This was something that was lacking during the Bill era. I don’t know why he did draft picks like he did.

And I hope Ian and every other mindless pajama wearing fanboy enjoys your *********** tonight, because the fall out from this pick is going to be painful.

The Pats won’t be sniffing the playoffs anytime soon, throwing away premium draft picks on good guys that can’t play.
More evidence that excessive smoking of weed while binge drinking alcohol can cause brain damage.

I mean one can write, "boop," but does it really convey any meaning?

Sow and Robinson spent all of last year vying for the position of worst guard in the NFL. Strange has been average at best so far and his career and may end up at center long term.
Robinson was put at LG. He’s not that. Then they moved him at his RG. He showed flashes. Keep him there. He’s the heir apparent.

Sidy Sow finished the season as a healthy scratch. He’s the player who will benefit most with a new start. The sign the new stuff has its **** together is if Sow competes at LG. Stop the experimenting. He’s not cut out for that.

Strange I fear has been relegated to center. He’s been Quinnened. Superbly athletic. Great for outside zone. Perfect for that. Definitely not for gap power against elite DTs with power like the Jets Quinnen Williams who he’ll have to face twice a year. Ok at inside zone.

Williams rubs his hands in glee at the prospect of Strange69. Again, a Captain Stone sobriquet.

Trade bait for the Rams?

I love the energy Mike Vrabel is bringing to the Pats and I really like Will Campbell’s character. Football aggressive but also just a good guy.
