Would not have been my pick. First off, he can't catch well, which is something i hammer home about on RBs. Secondly he isn't the kind of player who runs more than 12 times a game. I just don't believe considering those factors he has enough impact. That being said, i think he will be a good player. but not the one i would have picked at that spot.

Why can he not be an every down back? 5'10 is big enough. He just needs to add 10 pounds or so of muscle.

They desperately needed some explosive players on offense. McDaniels has always featured a passing down back heavily, but with Maye still so young it might not make sense to go with a guy like Faulk, Vereen, White who was really only a passing game type guy. Henderson might not be the receiver those guys are, but supposedly a great blocker which give him utility on those formations while still being a threat to actually call a traditional run play. That’s going to help Maye, having that dual threat even when they go passing back.
