DRAFT Welcome to New England, LSU OT Will Campbell

Even if he eventually becomes a guard (I'm not saying he will, but just responding to all the people moping that he's going to be one)... if he's a great guard, who cares? Right now, the best we got is above average in Onwenu. That's it. The rest are at best average, either based on production or age.

We supposedly have a really good offensive line coach. Maybe not Scar level, but from what I've heard, he's up there. So, let's hope that Campbell's talent plus our coaching equals a good to great offensive lineman (at least).

Jets just picked a superior OT at 6. So embarrassing.
We shall see about that but it will be right in our face and hurt a lot if Membou ends up being better.

The problem with him becoming a guard is that, inevitably, there will be multiple guys drafted after him who end up elite players at more important and scarce positions and it will be a failure that they ended up with a guard instead of one of them.

It's not a sexy pick, but a necessary pick..
Suspect the Pats brain trust has spent a lot of time with him and know what they are getting.
With Marrone and new staff here, he will develop and probably do well..
For what it's worth, I'm fine with it..

Will Campbell pick is as bland tasting as my ****.

Every team using draft pick this high has spent lots of time with him and getting to know him. A crapload of those picks still bust because that doesn’t really mean ****. It’s just fluff people say to hype themselves up that the team made the right pick.

Embarrassing? Do you work for the team? Play on the team?
Do you, smart ass. Wait till you realize N’Keal Harry was a better pick than Campbell at 4 and go ahead and still defend the team. You mindless ****ing *******.

Hope he works out. But those arm stats aren't something to ignore.
