Linemen are next highest paid after WR’s, it’s also spread across five starters.LT, yes, not RTs, OGs, RBs and TEs though.
You just described 4x Pro Bowl and 3x All Pro Tristen Wirfs who exclusively played the right side in college. Membou had an upperclassman who got drafted last year entrenched at LT, that’s not an indictment of Membou.Membou is a RT who you hope can play LT.
I didn’t mention Campell.Campbell is LT you hope can beat the odds of being undersized and might have to convert to OG in the NFL.
What's your take on A Membou Woz??Linemen are next highest paid after WR’s, it’s also spread across five starters.

Like I said, Carter has a questionable foot injury, Hunter is wafer thin…. there is no perfect prospect. I don’t see these two as can’t pass prospects anymore than Jeanty, Graham and Membou.
Great athlete, strong, very good length… showed out at the senior bowl for a practice then stopped. Possibly a team in the top three said they’d seen enough. Should be a consideration for the Pats. What's your take on A Membou Woz??
I really really like him too for us.Great athlete, strong, very good length… showed out at the senior bowl for a practice then stopped. Possibly a team in the top three said they’d seen enough. Should be a consideration for the Pats.
I know right? The OP is not some new guy, either.
We (being, the media and fanbase) are falling for two traps as we evaluate this draft. First, we are matching player to need. Teams don't reach for need in the top 10 unless that need is QB. Second, we're assigning too much value to the LT position, to the extent that we are undervaluing superior players. Campbell and Membou are top 20 - 25 guys in most drafts. Each is best suited for another position. Each has a ceiling of average starter at LT. Yet we overvalue both because of the position that we try to pigeonhole both into.
LT may be the "blind side", but it is not a transformative position. Joe Thomas is a candidate for GOAT at his position, yet his teams went 49 - 127 and experienced both 1-15 and 0-16 seasons. One elite lineman on a bad offense is ineffectual. We need 5 good linemen, regardless of position.
Outside of Carter and Hunter, the value in the top of this draft is DL and EDGE. The correct pick should be Graham or Walker. Take OL with every other pick if you want, but the top 5 is not the time.

This year, yes. A typical year, no.Campbell and Membou are top 10 guys in most mock drafts.
Walker is the same height as Landry and only 6 pounds lighter. Why is he neither an edge or an LB?Walker would be a horrible pick. He’s not an edge and he’s not an off the ball linebacker. Essentially a defender without a position. I wouldn’t touch him in the first round.
This year, yes. A typical year, no.
There are better guys.
I am ok with either at 10 based on how the value shakes out.Just like free agency you can only work with what is in front of you. Joe Alt isn’t in this draft, so you evaluate them, create your tiers of players, then go off of that on draft weekend. I don’t disagree that Graham is a more highly rated player, but he wouldn’t start with Barmore and Williams in front of him, so you are taking an insurance policy at 4. If, as predicted, Carter and Hunter are gone then their best option is a trade back to 10 in return for the 39th pick, which would give them 10, 38, & 39. Then they could either stay put and see who falls to them, or use those 2 picks to move back into the first round. And if they can’t get a deal done at 4 then take Membou or Campbell.

I'd still prefer wither Warren, Tet, or the best edge available at 10, and use the two second round picks to nab two of Jsckson, Ersey and Millum.
We could also check with the Jets to see whom they would draft with the fourth pick and then avoid taking their choice. Why not just forfeit the 4th altogether and let it go to waste? That way we don't have to worry about the possibility of making a mistake with it? Doing this you ensure there won't be any hindsight arguments down the road.
Note for the sarcasm impared: That was sarcasm.
I'm fine with taking Deone Walker, but he should still be there in the 3rd round. We (being, the media and fanbase) are falling for two traps as we evaluate this draft.
