Riddick predicting Hunter to Patriots

That’s fine. Those idiots still won’t have a QB. Browns being Browns.
this is interesting cause Giants now have to decide if they fortify their defense or swing on a franchise QB or trade the pick for a team wanting to get in front of us for Carter.

Not a great spot for us to land one of the best 2 players.
Looking like a trade down to me.

If Hunter is there, they 100% take Hunter. No question.

I've seen a few mocks where both Hunter and Will Campbell are there.... and they have the Patriots taking Campbell. The thought process being maybe he is going to be a good LT, maybe not. But they can just move him inside to guard and he'll be really good there.

This to me is absolutely insane. A guard? You are going to pass on Travis Hunter for a guard? Are you kidding me? I don't care if it's Zach Martin on the board. I am not passing on a guy with Hunter's potential for a guard. Guards don't win football games. Guards are valuable like any full time starting spot is, but they are the least valuable full time starter spot. Literally any major starting position on a football team is more valuable than an OG.

If we pass on Travis Hunter and Will Campbell gets kicked inside to guard i will lose my freaking mind. Here's an idea. Get Hunter... and get a starting level OG in round 2.... they will 100% be there. Really good ones.

Now.... if Will Campbell was a great, and i mean great LT prospect. Like a guy who screamed franchise annual pro bowl potential LT. I could maybe be talked into it.

Like a guy like Penei Sewell was there... who went 7th overall or Ronnie Stanley who went 6th... or the young promising (but raw Joe Alt who went 5th last year). Paris Johnson went 6th in 2013.

If was the kind of LT prospect those guys were, I may be talked into. But he's not. He's kind of stuck between 2 positions and maybe is better suited for the interior. Nope. I can't remember the last time anyone drafted a guard that high.

Only shot we have at Hunter is trading up to 2..
I’d be tempted to go broke on getting Hunter.
Our 4. A first next year a third and a player like Dugger.

Shouldn't it be Travis Hunter IS going to the Patriots?
I think they're trying to be smart by saying "both" (WR &CB) Hunter players going to the Pats.
That's my take.

I think Browns will take Hunter at 2
Giants take Carter at 3 and trade Thibodeaux
Pats take Campbell at 4

That’s absolutely insane. The 4, next years first. a 3rd, and Duggar. Of all the batshit crazy crap you have put out this off-season this absolutely takes the cake.

For a generational player?
I think it’s absolutely worth it.

I keep seeing this "Generational" crap...it hurts both my eyes, AND my brain.
Ok for the best player in this draft and maybe the next 5 drafts absolutely,
Problem is Browns nor Giants would take that deal.

What? I see this generational crap every year or 2, it doesn't usually turn out true, and definitely not worth the cost it takes to get that player IMO.
We all will obviously differ on our opinions, every year, which is actually a good thing.
Next FIVE DRAFTS? LMFAO.

We're going to see a lot about the philosophy of the Pats brass (ie: Vrabel as final decision maker) in this draft.
I also have a feeling that Sanders & Carter will be gone. And here is the unpopular opinion -->

Vrabel will NOT pick a flashy WR at #4. (I bet Wolf would)
Vrabel will be eager to make his definitive mark as the new (like the old) Patriot regime and either trade back a few, or pick:
Graham or Campbell - to prove that he believes in building inside out, that DL & OL are the meat & potatoes.

And I'm all for that! I don't trust any WR at #4. And I don't want an undersized pass rusher at #4 either.
We need a stalwart of the trenches that will be here 10+ years. Both those guys have the character, fight and tenacity to be long time captains on your respective Lines. Take the DT or LT, or trade down to +/- 10 and do the same.

It’s absolutely idiotic. Hunter is a very good player, but giving up two firsts, a 3rd, and a starting strong safety to move up 2 spots for him is insanely stupid. If you aren’t dropping acid 24/7 then there is no excuse for this kind of idiocy.

I could see him taking Hunter, but not any other WR at 4.

Just remember when we see criticism and concerns of players, it turned out to be wrong and not be an issue in the NFL. I remember the concern with Ed Reed in 2002 was that he was "small". Anquan Boldin and Greg Jennings had their speed questioned. Suggs as a pass rusher was considered slow as well. Aaron Rodgers developing bad habits from Jed Tedford and not being able to get rid of it. Maurice Jones Drew had concerns he was a too little to be an every down back. DK Metcalf being a workout warrior and neck issue. It goes on and on.

I still would prefer a LT with the #4 pick.

Wolf has never shown any willingness to reach on a flash WR. Idk why people think he's the guy who would.

There are no perfect options. Picking a LT at 4 is the only way to guarantee we get one. In the case of Grant or Trapilo, trading back from 38 would probably net them and not leave us hoping on 69.
I agree.
=========
I know we can blame Mayo for not losing Game 17. Of course, there are several other games that he might have won if he was only a little competent.

I feel good about what can happen at 4.
1) We might get Hunter.
2) We might get Carter.
3) We might get our starting LT.
3) We might get our starting LT (plus a pick or two) after trading down a few spots and let a couple of OT-needy teams take Campbell and Membou, and take our choice from Simmons, Conerly and Banks.
==========
If we are still scrambling after 15, that means that we got Hunter or Carter. We could try to move up tp get one of the top xix. Failing that, we can execute your plan and use 38, perhaps with a trade back. In this situation, we might sign a veteran free agent for a year.

C'mon.

We haven't had a generational player since last year.

From the video, most are predicting him to be CB. Are you still taking him at #4?
