Thread's been going for 8 hours and closing on 500 posts and you think that's getting me sucked into it?
I'm only here to tell you to give your balls a tug, not going near any of the the rest of this.

Looks like you answered the Taco Bell, @maust one too many times. Why don't you ****in' save some for the rest of us, you ****in' garburator?

*edited for appropriate pats fans content.

You are one arrogant, closed-minded individual who clearly has a major insecurity issue.

Sorry but i'll listen to Josh and Brian Hoyer and all the WCO coaches they've hired over your rec league OC expertise.

I would have thought they would hang on to him for another year, but if he wanted out that bad then I get why they moved him. Don’t need a bad QB room. That’s what Mac the Spoon did when Zappe took “ his” job.
Yeah, I thought they’d hang on to him. Whether they don’t have as much hope as we do or they feared he’d be a problem, he’s gone now. At least there’s not a huge gap between picks after the fourth round.

I did have hope that maybe the rumors were true and he’d fetch a higher price but, alas, much like my dream that one day a woman will find me attractive, it turned out a dream in vain.

If I wanted to read Reddit, I'd go to Reddit.

Or, you know, you could give your own thoughts, rather than posting random reddit posts.
The random Twitter posts are bad enough.

So you have no rebuttal then. I didn’t think so. I’m sorry that your Joe Milton Patriots jersey is now a throwback.

BTW I have shared my opinion on this trade plenty, in this thread and in others on this forum. The search function is free.

Wrong. Keep track of who you're fighting with, old man.
Sorry, you where the other guy that was wrong

You did say I compared Milton to Brady

I only asked you if you wanted to trade Brady because he wanted to be starter

Apologies for the earlier mistake
I am getting old & bouncing around to different platforms or different threads has this danger

This is a terrible trade and a dreadful waste of resources over the past year. The only possible way this makes any sense is if Milton was being disruptive and causing problems inside the QB room. Otherwise, this is a total ****e trade.

So the Joe Milton trade means they don’t know what they are doing?

The rest of the offseason just goes out the window, and now they suck?
Pretty much sums it up right there!

But do the Patriots really think that they can get a better backup QB for a 5th compensatory pick? Good luck with that.

Personally I think it was a stoooopid, idiotic Patriots, err Kraft, move--why dump a proven, capable backup QB for the uncertainty of a late 5th? It is insane...unless Milton was a whiny b1tch in the locker room because he was not playing enough...
We have different criteria for proven, capable.

I'm a little bummed as he was a good prospect. I get it though and good for him.

So many comments lol

They got another pick so they have more to work with in the draft, good move

Don’t really know what anyone was thinking was gonna happen with this nobody. Come on guys

If we can get Donte Thornton or Thor Griffith with the 5th we got then well worth it.

Among several others

Getting him out of the conference is a more important thing. I'm going to assume Highsmith/Wolf made sure that was part of the decision.

The one back-stop against them potentially being wrong.
So trading him out of conference was the price for getting a lesser return? I guess it makes some sense.

I'd just rather the higher return. But who else was asking for him that we'd be afraid he would turn into a stud, the Jets? The Jets will ruin whatever QB goes to them regardless of ceiling.

Say Tua has another concussion and he's the starter in Miami.
I'd rather not face him twice a year for the next decade.

At least on the Cowboys, you'll only get him once every three or four years, potentially.

The face of Patriot fans when they found out about the player dump.

The Patriots don’t want Maye to have any competition because they know a portion of the fans would call for Milton if Maye
Struggles

So the eliminated the competition by trading him for basically nothing

The 2025 version of the Patriot Way
Milton wasn't competition for Maye or they would have kept him.
