Patriots Player Departure BREAKING: Joe Milton traded to Dallas

So what if there's a circus? I sincerely doubt Drake Maye would be affected by a message board "QB controversy". He's certainly more mentally resilient than Mac Jones.

No one said anyone was affected by a stupid message board, but many of the idiots we insufferable here and in the stadium. Nothing like sitting next to a drunk fan cheering for the backup.

I cannot fix stupid. You can believe Josh runs the tooth fairy unicorn offense if you want. Good for you. Josh runs the EP system. It makes no difference what ignorance you choose to believe.
You are one arrogant, closed-minded individual who clearly has a major insecurity issue.

Sorry but i'll listen to Josh and Brian Hoyer and all the WCO coaches they've hired over your rec league OC expertise.

I don't like it. I would have taken the best offer. Either way he's going to be a backup until he can prove he belongs to be a stater. What has Milton done to deserve a favor from us by taking lesser compensation? That 5th rounder we get back better turn into a useful player!
Getting him out of the conference is a more important thing. I'm going to assume Highsmith/Wolf made sure that was part of the decision.

The one back-stop against them potentially being wrong.

Reports are that he's a pain in ass and feels he should be starting. They are saying the room is worse than when Zappe was there. This could be true, but I still think Bob wanted him gone after week 18.

Hey, Josh McDaniels runs the EP system. You can be as ignorant as you want. Seeing how you have no idea what that actually means, nothing you post has any relevance.

After the Patriots reportedly determined the 2024 sixth-rounder was not the most ideal backup for starting quarterback Drake Maye, say what???????

Seeing how you don't know what system or terminology they will use next year, neither does yours.

These are the guys you want trading away our 4th overall pick?

We'll end up with Banks at 12 and a 2027 4th rounder.

So the Joe Milton trade means they don’t know what they are doing?

The rest of the offseason just goes out the window, and now they suck?

I never thought Milton would be a good QB
During exhibition games he did not process well and was horrible with touch passes
I would not judge him on the Bills game
The Bills outright did not want to win that game
If Vrabel did give Milton his choice of teams then it seems he wants to put out a strong image of a coach that takes care of his players
My guess is they want to use that to replace not having a 6th rounder
Could be used to move up

I think Milton made it clear that he didn’t want to be here, and Vrabel doesn’t want that kind of attitude in the locker room. I think he’s serious about building a winning culture and doesn’t want malcontents on the team.

They get a game stick after... in the NOSHO. @maust

Thread's been going for 8 hours and closing on 500 posts and you think that's getting me sucked into it?
I'm only here to tell you to give your balls a tug, not going near any of the rest of this

A 3rd string QB?

When the guy morphs into a hall of famer y'all can say toldjya so. Until then, the fans here at patsfans, myself included, grossly over valued the market for the player. One decent game against a disinterested 3rd string defense and some of y'all are looking for him to get his bust in Canton.

But do the Patriots really think that they can get a better backup QB for a 5th compensatory pick? Good luck with that.

Personally I think it was a stoooopid, idiotic Patriots, err Kraft, move--why dump a proven, capable backup QB for the uncertainty of a late 5th? It is insane...unless Milton was a whiny b1tch in the locker room because he was not playing enough...

Link?

This is about the return I expected. I did, however, anticipate that he’d be more valuable to the Pats.

I would have thought they would hang on to him for another year, but if he wanted out that bad then I get why they moved him. Don’t need a bad QB room. That’s what Mac the Spoon did when Zappe took “ his” job.
