Yet another example of why people should not make judgments about an "overpay" until all of the contract details are revealed. They can't help themselves, though. Have to get those negative takes out there ASAP, facts be damned.
I agree, but some "fans" are just negative period, makes me wonder why they bother really.

It’s a tale as old as time. Can’t satisfy everyone. Look at the threads here from 2007 regarding Welker and Moss. Most on this board were thrilled but there were always a few negative posts.

As long as Vrabel isn't forced to stuff him in a locker we'll be fine, and he'll be awesome...at least after the injury is FULLY healed.
He's always been a great WR.

So I fugure he can give us 7 more first downs a game. Will that translate when he gets doubled? Can we score in the 20's every game with this offense now. Not enough i.m.o.

7 extra first downs is a lot. On average in a game a team only makes 20 first downs, and last year we must have been well below that. So 7 more is likely close to 50% more first downs than we made last year, and would bring us up to league average at least.

Last year we had nobody that was consistently doubled. If he's doubled, then a lot more one-on-one matchups for everyone else.

Mike goes into the pre-injury numbers on Diggs and raises some interesting questions abut how he might be used. In Houston he ran shorter routes often out of the slot.

wheres BB…
Someone looking for me!

Diggs is going to be a monster at least for 1 year. Maye is going to feed him he's got no one else to feed like that. I predict In two games vs Buffalo he'll produce a third of what Pop did last year.
Imagine how much better diggs presence will make the offense.. Henry, Gibson out the back field, pop is a good run after catch guy.. 3rd downs are no longer basically a punt anymore.. I can see Josh going for it on 4th down more.

I haven't seen a precise route running WR like diggs in NE In years. Brandon Lloyd probably as specifically a route runner is who i can compare too.

Vrabel seemed to list the DL pecking order as Milt, Barmore, and then White. I take this as a good sign of Barmore's availability.
