Peppers, Dugger, if RBs are lucky to get pass the line of scrimmage Peppers will punish them..

Gonzo, Davis...

Gonzo will be even better with a real partner on the outside who can hold his own. No more dwarf CB'S..

Big time upgrades over last seasons Dog Cheaux, and raewkwon McMillan.. to name a few. The interior pass rush is how we will affect QB and push them into our LBs. We will add guys on the edges in the draft.

Top notch coaching... Vrabel was under this 7.5 wins total each of his last 2 years in TEN. I think he's a good coach, but let's not make him out to be BB in his heyday either.

Our DTs are terrible vs. the run. Milton Williams has always graded poorly there and it's never been a strnegth of Barmore's either. Why do people think Kyrisis is good? He was practically a minimum signing. As likely to be cut in camp as he is to be the answer to anything.

I acknowledge our LBs and Safeties are good vs. the run and that helps make up for the poor DT play so extent, but our LBs and Ss also suck in coverage. With Gonzo/Davis I expect to be great at limiting outside WRs but I expect us to struggle mightily covering slots and TEs because we have so many poor coverage LBs/Ss and MJones isn't anything special in the slot (and no depth behind him if he continues to miss time here and there).

I do expect to be better, but people gloss over how truly terrible we were on defense last year. We can make tons of improvement and still be middle of the pack, which is what I expect. And then I expect to suck again on offense. Crap offense and middle of the pack on defense is no lock for more than 7 wins.

From player talent to coaching, the NFL as a whole are getting worse each season. 2024 may have been the worst year of football I’ve ever watched. The only good thing I saw was the Chiefs getting what they had coming going on 3 years now.

The Commanders are garbage and they stumbled their way to an NFC title game. The Eagles were an afterthought until the Cowboys, Lions and 49ers imploded. You didn’t see this 5-10 years ago.

If the Pats can get a game breaking talent at WR and a competent T, I could see them coming out of nowhere like the 1999 Colts. I don’t see them lighting it up like they did, but you’d notice a significant difference. This also hinges on Barmore returning.

Because of this, 7.5 wins doesn’t seem out of the question. On the other hand, if they don’t get at least 7 wins this season, I’d be very worried about Drake Maye.
