But hey, I’m sure giving Calvin Ridley 30 million a year, or trading out of the 3rd pick last year, or even trading the #4 for George Pickens would have overcome all of that. Mac Jones to George Pickens just crushing opposing teams. Now that I really think of it you guys are right, they should have followed the Dolphins model and traded away their high picks for “ superstars,” and then paid them so much they can’t keep any of the really good players they drafted. The best way to build a great team is to grossly overpay mediocre players because the fans are desperate.

It would've been bad business to pay Williams who's a backup a **** ton of money. That would cause problems with Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter.

I'm not. I'm comparing the situation. Williams has been a backup pretty much his entire career. Davis and Carter were drafted to boot Williams when he had already been there. His snap count just went up this season to 2nd on the DL.

Williams getting more money than Barmore is comical.

The don't draft WRs therefore can't develop them and because of their DNA don't sign them unless they have to.

Okay. If Barmore is healthy and has another season like 2023 and Williams is decent at best, watch what happens during the off-season. Someone is going to want their contract reworked.

Barmore missed a season and has been way more efficient than the DT in Williams we only started to hear about during the playoffs.

They will land a mercenary eventually. They even missed out on guys during their Dynasty. Derek Mason didn't want to sign with the Pats just so he could make his dream killing wife happy. Steve Smith declined to meet with the Pats after he met with the Ravens. He made up some extreme weather excuse. I'm sure both regret it.

You’re the one acting like a spoiled child. Boo hoo hoo, they won’t give Stefan Diggs 25 million a year. Boo hoo ho, why can’t we have anything nice, boo hoo hoo; that’s why they have only won 8 games the last 2 years, because they won’t grossly overpay wide receivers.
The Patriots have invested heavily in this team this offseason, but people like you are still crying because you didn’t get the present you wanted for Christmas.
