If true and Hunter and Carter are gone and no trade down is available.
This would be Ashton Jeanty

Would help Drake Maye more than any available OL or 2nd tier receiver

Daniel Jeremiah agrees

Please not Tet,

They must have knowledge of what’s happening in the first 3 picks.
I'm sure they're going to workout both Tet and Jeanty. What if they like them?? Both could help Maye: either way Jeanty being the Greater of the two.

I’m conflicted with Jeanty. On the one hand, in a vaccuum he’s a young stud RB that would add excitement to the offense. The best friend of a QB is a strong running game. On the other hand, RB has the shortest career lifespan of any position on offense and it’s a deep RB class.

Doesn’t address the biggest need, but may be the safest bet to succeed at the NFL level of who’s available. I don’t know. Let’s just hope Sanders goes in the top 3.

Yes, if we are FORCED to pick at 4, we would draft the BPA. It seems much more likely that someone in 5-7 will give us a pick to move down a bit, where we would take the BPA on our board at that spot.

I would note the obvious: that different teams have different players as BPA at #4, #5, #6 and #7 on their boards. It is quite possible that we could get the #4 on our board at 6 or 7.

AS AN ASIDE, is there ONE player that we think that Vrabel has as clearly better than those that will be available at 5-7? Tet? Graham?

Terrified if both Carter and Hunter are gone Mayo hate rises.

Honestly I would be fine with Jeanty at 4. He’s an exceptional player, and he would instantly improve their offense. Really the only guy I don’t want of the ones that have been bandied about is Tetairoa MacMillen,

The best help they can give Maye roster wise is creating a good roster around him. Good weapons. Good defense. Good blocking. He'll need all of it. The best progress they can make towards that is BPA. It might very well be that they resources get poured into defense and weapons while the OL still sucks. That's fine. People mistakenly associate order of addressing needs with priority. If you could design player sin a lab to sign, sure craft a quality starting caliber LT before a stud RB or a beast pass rusher off the edge. But in reality you can only choose from who's there.

OL is clearly our biggest need but that just really doesn't seem to be where the value is at #4 this year. Oh well.

Serious question to the irrational fans. Not putting you in that category.

Why is Mayo to blame for winning that final game? He played mostly backups including the 3rd string QB. You can't intentionally lose a game by punting on 1st down every play, especially with the Pats hating league office that would have gladly taken away the #1 overall pick.

You cant blame Mayo for Milton going out and balling a near perfect game at QB. Fans were begging for Milton to play assuming he would throw multiple ints but instead he scored multiple TDs.

Except for some extraordinary cases even great RBs aren't successful without a good online, I haven't watched alot of Jeanty but low positional value and potential dependance on the OLine wouldn't give me the warm and fuzzys about that pick.

I think the Pats are going to land Hunter or Carter as I keep seeing mocks with Sanders and Ward sneaking in the top 3.

If they took Jeanty then that would mean Rham gets traded and they draft a few OL.

I like Jeanty but he may not even be the best back in this draft.
The fact we are looking at third to fourth round backs, tells me we aren’t seriously considering him.

Does Carter fit Vrabels scheme?
Is he worth the 4th overall pick I’m going to be furious if Hunter goes at 3.

Carter looks like a boom bust pick that Parsons was for Dallas. Both look too light in the ass to be a traditional edge player. It's probably why we see Parsons moving around so much.

All 3 teams should be taking a QB with the pick. The BPA route will just rot on those teams.

Still have no idea what the source is. Please provide one
