I don't think he'll get $25M anywhere else at this point. If someone wanted him that badly he'd have signed by now.
I think $20M is reasonable for a one year deal. We have the extra cap $ and there's no more high prized FA's available that we'll miss out on because we ran out of cap space. We can sign Diggs and still pay, say a Jedrick Wills, trade for a WR (G. Wilson, though that's not happening) and extend him as well or trade for Aiyuk. Both could be had. Both have injury concerns so we're only getting one or the other. The money is there. $5M is a big difference and I'm not sure the Pats will budge. But I just want a good WR at this point, even a 32 year old, (I'll even take Lockett) in case we go OL/DL/Edge with the first pick and miss out on Hunter or Tet. We can still get one with our 2nd pick but it may not be a plug and play guy.
Let's see how this plays out. Still a long way until training camp.

Another thing of note is. I believe we see a big difference in polk and baker... how much would that help Drake and the offense to actually have 2 young talented WRs that we actually drafted do well. However to your point I just want a veteran in here that has done it at a high level.. lockett would be fine! I still feel like we are trading for ayuik by or before April 1st.. just my hunch.

Pats front office should be held accountable for once again egregiously missing in the draft, cut their losses, and restart and WR. Grab Drake Maye a REAL wide receiver.

$20m for a team just sitting in extra cap space makes plenty of sense. And if it’s a 2 year deal it makes a ton of sense. You’re hoping either this season or next you draft a guy who’s in position to be a #1 receiver and Maye/player X are the future of the franchise.

Diggs is ****y, arrogant and a baller . We’ve tried to stay away from diva WRs for so long (and weee able to do so because of Brady). But WRs and CBs in the NFL seems to play with the same sense of entitlement as WNBA players. Eventually you just have to accept it

Double R... I really believe coaching had to alot to do with them last season.. your bou wolf even admitted he put too much on them as rookies.. I think they become productive players under Vrabel. Remember David givens? The 7 round pick.. he was thought to be a bust after his first season too.

This guy is no way near as wack as AB but nowhere near as good but I think if they could deal with AB, they could deal with whiney. He could be looking to reinvigorate his career and this could be the place. What gave it away for you? The absence of any diss in the supposed diss being 'reported'? The use of Diggs' 2023 stats as his 2024 stats? Reporting him playing for the wrong team last year? Attributing contract numbers to ESPN that they never reported? Or was it this gem:
