Next Sop Tetairoa McMillan's Pro Day

OK i did it. I took Tet and I traded back into the first for our LT.
You're telling me a Second and Third get's us bail in the First?? I will believe it when it happens.

I just give him credit for running. We're splitting hairs when it comes to 4.48 vs 4.53

But I agree he doesn't seem like a guy you want running routes inside. Down the sideline and in the red zone he should dominate.
First downs and TDs. Who needs that?

It is not a development at all. It makes no difference.
Yes, he's still the same player. But this absolutely will change some people's opinions. He's been falling on people's boards not even because of a poor workout. Hes slid just because he didn't work out. Now having verified numbers will factor in to some people.

Golden was WR3-5 then blazes a 40 at the combine and some people start calling him wr1. He's likely no worse than wr2 off the board. Whether you like it or not, workouts can impact draft status. The player is the same but they can move up or down with workouts.

I basically swapped our 2nd both 3rds and 4th for the Vikings 1st, 3rd and both 5ths

You’re right. Patriots fans dislike him for some reason. Like they are afraid if he doesn’t act like a choir boy.
I like king Tet, but do not feel he is head and shoulders better than Higgins as a big body X/power slot type. If they took Tet at 4 it would help Drake a ton. I like the potential of Hunter as a WR if he commits to the position, currently I feel that he is very raw as a WR.

If Vrabel's goal is to add a no 1 X receiver to this team and that seems to be the case based upon his comments, it's easier to guarantee that at 4 with the choice of Tet and Hunter than it is to hope that Higgins is there at 38. I know that when I mock, Higgins is almost always gone now.

The fact he didn’t do any other testing is a red flag to me.

His nickname is T-Mac BTW

No, It changes the media and fans opinion. It does nothing for teams who have already evaluated his tape and seen his game speed. He didn't slide. This is a weak WR class. He will go 10-20 just like normal.

Goden is ridiculously inconsistent. He is a round 2 WR, never had a 1000 season, and disappears for long stretches of time. He had two big college games and a fast 40 and the media crowned him as god. Nope. He is not. He is a WR2. Workouts change media and mock drafters, not teams who spend months gathering data.

If teams didn't use the combine and pro days as part of the evaluation, why do they attend?

Tape is absolutely most important. But this is a part of the process and does have value.

Its just a two days as part of a very long process. A player does not magically become different with one workout.

It shows that he is taking the process seriously so for that I'm happy.

goblin want's a Guard in the First Great value there.

Nobody said they become different.

Of course they are. A WR who has played out of his mind all season has been mocked between 10-14 for months. All of a sudden he runs a 4.48 and he is a top 4 pick. Nothing in the man changed, but the infatuation with 40 times has made him into something else. If someone had him rated at 4 prior to his new 40 time, so be it. If someone jumped him 16 slots because of his 40 time, they are foolish. But thats the way these silly forums work.

Who suggested he wasn't? He didn't run at the Combine because he could not run a 4.5. He trained hard to do it. Its all about technique. It has nothing to do with his game play. He isn't running a 40 off the blocks in a game. If you want to see T Mac, watch his tape. Thats who he is.

He was consistently mocked to the Patriots and Raiders pre combine.

Then when he didn't run, people dropped him. I'd agreed that that was stupid. I can understand having some doubts but hes a guy you've seen on film do it, and do it for a long time. It wasn't even a bad time - it was no time.

But the workout process does have value. It absolutely can impact where a player gets drafted. That can be good or bad for Teams. You can move a guy like John Ross up and get burned. Or someone like Amon Ra falls because he didn't light it up.

Hopefully the Patriots make the right decision, whatever it is.
