Official 2025 Mock Draft Game (Discussion ONLY) Thread

The champs have made their pick. Cleveland Browns are now on the clock. @Clonamery

PS I'm surprised Ezeiruaku slipped this far. He had great college production and a strong combine as well. After losing Sweat to free agency, the Eagles were glad to jump on this pick. Maybe the difficulty of spelling his name allowed him to get to 32.

Titans are really happy so far to come away with the top DE in the draft and their QB in round 2, Jaxson Dart.

He's been a riser, rumored to go in the 1st round, maybe even as early as the Jets pick at #7.

In our mock, I was a bit worried the Browns or Giants might take him with their 2nd rounder just ahead of us.

Thankfully signing starting Left Tackle Dan Moore in free agency meant it was a green light to go for Dart in the early 2nd because there's no way I think he slips to the 3rd round.

I thought that was a good pick although time will tell how good. I don't think any of these QBs, outside of perhaps Cam Ward, are guaranteed to be future starters.

The Raiders are in desperate need of cornerbacks, but there was no way I could pass on the value of Kenneth Grant.

Josh Simmons is an interesting decision here for the Pats. Draft Simmons, move Campbell to LG and the left hand side of the OL is fixed for the next 4 or more years. Or go WR with Jayden Higgins, Ayomanor or Jack Bech. TE and RB seem to be the other two choices.

Yup, I’m on the Simmons train. Probably the best prospect left and we need as many good players on the o-line as possible

I almost took him in Washington, I like scourton better.

@Boomer B Please select so @manxman2601 can go to bed and we will post the vote for the next Pats Selection. We can probably let that one sit through the weekeend since there's going to be a ton of options.
Are you doing a poll or are we throwing names out ?

To not have to trade up and still get a guy some see as LT1 at 38, that’d be excellent.

Those first 8-10 or so picks of the 2nd round are always interesting. Always seem to be multiple guys projected top 20-25 by the consensus that fall for various reasons—some with more logic than others.

Yeah just a dumb cat lol

Nothing to see here lmao

Gotta take Simmons here. Didn't think he would last that long. He could be the true solution to LT and kick Campbell inside to guard or maybe flip him to RT.

And this is one reason why I didn't want Campbell at #4 but obviously we go by board vote so here it is.

Dunno who drops at WR in round 3, gotta hope they aren't all scooped up by then but it might be a rough year for Drake in terms of weapons but at least he won't run for his life with 2 quality tackles taken.

I suppose i could have removed a lot of the Defensive options but I'm not trying to influence the choice. Again I just went with top rated available. If you want to write in a WR not listed among the choices by all means post them and I'll make sure they count towards the final results.

Hindsight 20/20. The OL is so bad that they might as well draft several of them. The WR room is pretty full. Just full of 3s and 4s lol. But whose to say 1 doesn't emerge. And there's plenty more to pick from later. Perhaps in the next round I'll have us choose a position first before coming up with actual names to.vote for?

I honestly don't see a better value in round 2.

Travis Hunter, T-Mac, Burden, Golden, Egbuka are all gone.

We're either picking from the bottom of tier 2/top of tier 3 of receivers or a chance at a real starting left tackle.

Simmons is the best value here imo.

But this is exactly why I made the argument of T-Mac at #4 a couple of days ago. We would have been sitting pretty with Simmons here in round 2.

It's alright a great LT + great G is better than taking a lesser talent at WR here.

Pats have so many holes they still need to go BPA. It all depends on what talent drops in round 3. Hopefully a good receiver, but it doesn't have to be.
