I know this was supposed to be done a while ago, but I've spent some time since the season ended on a new design, which I think has come out pretty well and is now basically finished and ready to go. I've gone through and cleaned out a ton of old code, along with having updated some things that, in addition to the new server, should also help make sure this place runs a little more smoothly during peak times.
As I think I said a while ago, after updating to the newest version of the software locally and testing it, pretty much all of the customizations I had done were not compatible. That sort of put of put everything on hold and I decided to finally take the time to re-code everything, and it's been a project that turned out to take a little longer than I thought. I was initially going to make some more significant changes, but I ended up enhancing some things while trying to limit any learning curves.
However, I'm finally at the end, and after setting up a test board with the changes, I ran a test upgrade locally of the existing forum. As expected, the software update itself broke everything, but it also caused some other issues I had to figure out. But having done a trial run installing the changes and solving those problems, I think I've got it down.
Based on that experience, the ETA of how long we'll be down will probably be about an hour when I convert it over and make the changes. I may shoot for early tomorrow morning, so we'll see how it goes.
I won't get into details, but this place will absolutely look quite different moving forward. Definitely excited to finally show it to you, and hope you guys like it.
