What’s our plan at Wide Receiver?

I was all on him until I watched all of his targets and then I watched all of Jayden Higgins targets and I don't think that Tet is better than Jayden Higgins. They may be equal but Tet is not a full round better imo
There's a reason he's been free-falling through everyone's mock drafts since the first ones came out.
His bust potential is really, really high.

In all seriousness, their plan was Godwin, once Higgins got tagged. That was really the best you could do through the FA route - and even that, I would argue, wouldn't have made nearly as big of a difference as some people thought he would.

I'll be curious to see if they get aggressive in the draft, but it's pretty slim pickings at WR compared to previous years.

There's a strong chance they punt at WR this year - and considering what's out there, I wouldn't blame them. Wolf blew it multiple times last year. How he still has a job is beyond me.

My preference would be to go all in on the OL in the draft. I have said it many times, if Maye has time he will find someone down field. Hollins and Pop can get open relatively quickly.

If they punt at WR this year, please don’t cry when Maye’s numbers are amongst the worst in the NFL.

Yeah but Pop being the #1 is a recipe for disaster. You all are really overrating him.
Many posters on this forum are living on fantasy island or completely blind when it comes to Pop. He wouldn’t be more than a 3 at best on any other nfl team. Most teams he wouldn’t even be in the top 4.

He's fine as your starting slot, and with some coaching and some other threats to draw coverage, I think he'll be more than serviceable there, perhaps even good. He himself needs to learn how to run more routes. Slants get pretty easy to defend if that's all you run.

Watch some of the coverages used against the Patriots last year. When's the last time you saw an inside slot receiver routinely double-teamed? That wasn't a massive TE or something?

Lol.. I like Hunter too SBB.. I just don't know if he'll be there for us.. as you said u less we somehow move up..
Carter and Ward will go in the Top 3. Is Hunter or Sanders going to be picked in the top three as well? If the Giants chose Sanders, we get Hunter. Not too complicated. QBs always rise a week or two before the draft, so I think the possibility of Sanders going #3 is good.

Does anyone think Josh can resurrect Polk? Wasn't he fairly highly touted just a year ago?

Josh is no messiah. He single handily ruined two franchises with historically awful coaching and beyond egregious drafting decisions. I highly doubt he can do much with Slow Polk.
Josh is a terrible head coach but he is a good OC, I think that he will get a good amount out of Polk

Polk supposedly had good hands and ran good routes when drafted, but was not fast, 40 was around 4.55. Didn’t show either good traits last season. Maybe Josh can design some plays to get him open, but Polk will have to catch the ball. Josh did his damage as a head coach; he seems good as OC.

???
Josh is poor HC
Josh is a poor drafter
THEREFORE, Josh isn't a really good OC.

Josh will develop an Offense that uses the players that we have. IMO, he needs at least one more RB and 2-3 more OL's to greatly improve the Offense. Yes, we will bring in another WR, but that isn't the key. The key is the OL and 2-3 healthy RB's (that don't fumble).
========
The team will have a press conference to discuss the players signed in the FIRST DAY of free agency. Let that sink in. There is a long, long way to go in adding players.

I haven't followed this year's draft but I want someone comparable to Stefon Diggs. A wr with pure speed and quickness that is easy to see on the field and not just combine numbers. Separation that stands out on basic routes like slants etc.

Here is your guy. Same height(6'0) as Diggs (4.46)but with a faster 40 time (4.29). In fact I think he had the fastest 40 time in the combine. Good hands, can play in the middle of the field or down the sidelines.
