Sad to see him go
He was the perfect Patriot
But it’s a new era.
He can get burnt in the East now.

Not to sound impatient but like god damn, can we sign someone else already. I'm getting antsy here!!!
Definitely fine with that logic. I don't want them to sign players just to sign players. I just love the team building part of the calendar so I'm itching for some more signings to analyze and talk about hahaI think what’s going on is that the players remaining aren’t of high quality, but teams are trying to address needs and are overpaying for them, and the Patriots don’t want to pay jags like stars. In which case good for them. This isn’t a one year rebuild, and they shouldn’t saddle themselves with mediocre players with big contracts.
The Pats had a brief period of excellence under coach Chuck Fairbanks when Hannah (guard) and Leon Grey(tackle) played together. Pats had a great team when Fairbanks was fired or quit immediately before a playoff game; downhill after that until Parcels arrived.Hahaha. What I meant was he played at a time when guards were more crucial to the offense. Lots of power runs, Iso’s, and pulling. Less pass blocking.
Now Larry Allen was a freak who you could insert at any time in NFL history and he’s be the most dominant player on the field.
That said, I saw Allen play. Hannah was before my time so I’m just going on old film and what I know of that era. Maybe Hannah was more special than I’m aware.
I was 5 when Hannah retired.
I also might have a bias in believing the Pars sucked ass pre-Bledsoe/Brady because I became a fan in 1997 and could be attaching “good player on a garbage team” fallacy to Hannah’s career.
Because of how colossal a bust Harry was and the way it's perceived as the "final straw" for Brady in his battles with BB and our overall troubles before and after him drafting that position, people are just mentally scarred. It's PTSD. It's be a long time on this board before anyone here is ever able to make a rational evaluation of that profile of receiver lolComparing Tet and Harry is one of the most simpleton football takes of all time. It would take two minutes of YouTube clips to see how different they are as players.
Using the fact that they both played college football in the state of Arizona as an argument against him? Really??
I was hoping they draft Hunter, now that they extended Garrett. Leaves Carter for us.I’m not concerned Wilson isn’t going to stop the Giants from taking Sanders if they want him.
Browns I think were always going Carter.
HunterYeah, his play definitely dropped off last year. The whole defense's did though so I wonder how much was him vs. how much was a worse unit around him leaving him exposed.
Will be interesting to see if we make a move in the secondary now. Reports had us interested in keeping him, at some level. Now that he's gone I wonder if we pivot to signing a replacement. Or maybe they already consider Davis his replacement, but my guess is they still need another slot CB as insurance/depth with MJones and AN ACTUAL ****ING FREE SAFETY!!!
Harry looked good on film clips too, but horrible when in the NFL. Not using an argument that they played in the same state; that they played on the same college team(I could be mistaken) against similar opponents though obviously at different times. No way I pick him at #4. I’d rather take a different wide receiver in the first round, and let another team have him. I respect your opinion if you think differently.Comparing Tet and Harry is one of the most simpleton football takes of all time. They can't base anything on the expectation he's going to be there at #4. That's whay too uncertain. (And I want Carter anyway haha)Hunter
its asking a lot of Tet to make plays without gaining separation.Because of how colossal a bust Harry was and the way it's perceived as the "final straw" for Brady in his battles with BB and our overall troubles before and after him drafting that position, people are just mentally scarred. If Carters foot is okay, and they got him with the 4th, I doubt any QB that can have time to pass lol...They can't base anything on the expectation he's going to be there at #4. That's whay too uncertain. (And I want Carter anyway haha)
They didn’t play on the same college team (Arizona vs Arizona state), they also play the game differently (harry was a linear power athelete, Tet is a change of direction athlete).Harry looked good on film clips too, but horrible when in the NFL. I definitely understand the concern for another WR bust given this teams history and I wish he worked out at the combine too, I just don’t think it’s a fair comparison for McMillan. Drake London , Tee Higgins and Nick Collins are much more aligned with him.
The notion he doesn’t get separation isn’t true. He’s not an elite separator, but he’s much more fluid in his routes than Harry
The Patriots were pretty decent. I would say good in this era. They had a lot of All-Pros. Several players made it to the Hall of Fame.Hahaha. What I meant was he played at a time when guards were more crucial to the offense. Lots of power runs, Iso’s, and pulling. Less pass blocking.
