If teams really thought he was a great run stopper who can reliably push the pocket then he'd probably have been signed for more than 1 year, $2.7M. Let's not oversell him here.

At this level of contract, there's a decent shot he's a Okorafor/Osborn/Armon Watts type of signing from last year. People shouldn't be surprised if he's a total bust. The contract he signed indicates that most of the league thinks he probably sucks but there's a glimmer of hope. And that's ok, you have to take your swings at those guys and hopefully hit on one or two every year.
