You need 3 QBs today because otherwise you waste a game day roster spot. So he’s replacing Brissett and as the veteran QB of the bunch his salary is cheap.

Good guy, good character (from what you hear), good worker - career backup, so always pushing.
But has some starts, and about average - same as Brissett, only younger and better athlete.
